One thing I was wondering about...got to think about this in other threads where people talked about games which went missing.

How the hell do you guys notice?! :D
Especially if you have 200+ or so games in your library? How often do you check? Do you write down the number of games and only check to see if the same number is shown again the next time?

I probably wouldn't even notice if some game I wouldn't really care that much about would go missing. Of course I still remember most of the games I did buy, but still...
I keep a spreadsheet, with games titles and total number. If the total number of my spreadsheet' and my GOG library don't match, I look into why.
Since GOG stopped sending the emails, I also keep a note of which ones were gifts, by whom and when, as well as the corresponding codes. I do the same for my own gift codes.

I also keep a copy of my library on GOGWiki, but this could easily get corrupted as it updates directly from my game shelf.
Since several users reported some missing games (or lots of them), should be good to have history of redeemed games, it accelerates the process.
Voted. Thank you for calling attention to that.

HypersomniacLive:
Meanwhile, until GOG fulfills your wish (or alternatively, your wish remastered), here is a simple trick to recover the order ID's for all your games. It is especially useful for people like me, who have always deleted all the confirmation emails from GOG (and still do).

1) You need to be logged in to GOG for it to work.
2) Click on the link below:
https://www.gog.com/account/ajax?a=gamesListMore&p=1&s=title&q=&t=1422815404817&h=0
3) You will get a list of the first 50 games in your library.
4) View the page source (Ctrl-U in most common browsers)
5) The page is composed of fifty items, one per game, of the following format:

 11TH HOUR, THE

The order ID is marked by data-orderid="" (e.g. data-orderid="F3DDDKRF9X3").
The game name is marked by class="game-title-link" (e.g. class="game-title-link"> 11TH HOUR, THE).
6) You don't need to do anything with this. Just copy-paste everything into some file for a rainy day.
7) Repeat steps 2-6, changing p=1 in the link to p=2, p=3, etc. until you get all the games in your library.

P.S. Forgot to mention that I, of course, voted too.

That's a neat trick, cheers.
Too bad, GOG support system uses a drop-down field for order IDs which only contains a handful, at least for me.

Yes. Whoever designed that menu was remarkably short-sighted. It covers my first 50 GOG purchases (total of 153 games), ending in July 2011.

Thank you! =)

I wish site functionality hadn't gone down with each 'improvement' that is made... =/ The logged out while still logged in bug is really irksome. I guess all we can do is to roll our boulder like Sisyphus and try to vote on the wishlist items in the hopes that GOG will take pity on us.

A small bump for visibility.
Voted!

While I never kept the emails GOG send me, I voted because as it seems, it's a matter of importance for many people. As for me, I kinda trust that GOG support, in the unfortunate event that my library loses a game or two, will resolve the matter without the need to prove that I'm not an elephant! :-P

Other than that, I keep a spreadsheet too, just to keep track of my library.

Voted on up.
It's really bad style to not sent out receipts, even for gifts. GOG should learn from high masters of distribution, e.g. amazon.
