Just curious. The year is 11 days old so far and we've only had four releases. Granted, 3 of those days were weekends, but still. It's been a massive slowdown/dribble of games. One could give some slack for New Years, but even so, it's been less than impressive so far.

Are new releases only going to come on Tuesday/Thursday now, like the old days? Did we hit peak release last year?
On par with Januaries from previous years.

*facepalm*

11 days, 3 of which were weekend and one was a holiday, which means 7 working days.

4 releases in 7 days is more than one release every second day on average. Not enough for you?

The year has just started, for heavens sake. There usually aren't that many releases this time of year.

...more. More! MORE!!!!
I'm perfectly happy with a slow month. After the insane spending spree I went on in December, I would be ok with a quarter of no new releases, or maybe even half a year.

My guess is that they specifically held back some of the classics we've gotten the last couple weeks, just so they'd have something to release in this post-holiday period.

I guess we'll see in the coming weeks if that's true. :-)

No, I mean that some of these oldies that have already been released lately: the Pizza Tycoons, Ignition, that Sea Dogs game, Of Light and Darkness, even the latest batch of Disney/LucasArts games. Though that's not to say there aren't still more incoming, I suppose. ;)
Honestly, I will never understand people on this forum. It's only 11 days and people are acting like the sky is falling just because GOG isn't pumping out games by the truckload like Steam.

But of course, if GOG were to all of a sudden boost their releases to three, four or even five times a week (and releasing God knows what kinds of games), people would start scrreaming bloody murder.

This. January is always slow on gog for releases, pretty normal to me.

Now things usually get interesting in the new year about February, like when System Shock 2 hit on Valentine's Day some years ago.

I assumed the thread was parody. OP is serious?

Damned if you do; damned if you don't.

Then those same people of either camp wonder why GOG won't directly communicate with them here. If all one can do is whine, bitch, and moan about not being satisfied should it be a surprise nobody is willing to answer? If only they knew there were more important issues in the world than some silly digital games.

A meager four releases! And to add insult to injury, I haven't been interested in any of them! So for all intensive purposes, there have been zero releases as far as I'm concerned! Zero releases in 11 days! Time to B O Y C O T T.
Gee, I was unaware asking a simple fucking question, in a respectful manner, constitutes whining/bitching/moaning. I did not resort to hyperbole or boycotts and admitted the day thing. I remember now why I left this forum in the first place.
