It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

So I wonder when we'll get two-step authentication?

mrkgnao: Thank you for the suggestion. I decided to bite.
Installed Galaxy.
What do I have to do now?
Click on the friends icon. I attached the image as "frendovi.jpg". It will show a popout window with your friends and friend requests. That's shown on the other image. Ignore the white messagge from my screenshot. It's from my screenshooting program, not from dialog itself. Now delete friend requests by clicking on "x". You can try one by one so you don't miss a valid friend request. Or you can just delete them all and be worry free. :)

Thanks. That's what I thought.
Unfortunately, I don't have any pending requests.
Would you like to invite me to see whether accepting it would do something?

Friend request sent, you can try declining it to see if that makes any difference. :)

Unfortunately, your request did not appear on the Galaxy friends thingamujig. Nor was there any flag.
I waited a few minutes, and finally accepted the invitation by hovering over your avatar in the forum.
We are now friends (as attested by the Galaxy friends thingamujig)!
This means that I could have numerous pending friend requests, which I am not aware of.

Regardless, my friends page is still not working (gogbear is my only real friend).
Cheers for the assistance, friend.

Ah, thats unfortunate and quite odd that you can't even see pending friend requests nor the actual friends page. I wonder what could have been the cause of this discrepancy and I hope that GOG support can help you out with that eventually as I know its been quite a while since you reported this issue.

Sorry, my friend invite didn't really help with the situation either but atleast now I have you on my small list of friends. :)

Just hovered over a couple of hundreds of avatars and found two more pending requests (accepted).
So if one wishes to befriend me, apparently one can, but one needs to send me a chat or post, as I get no flags.

Tallima: But I guess it's impossible to know if you're getting a re-sold key or a legit original key.
I've said it before, I'll say it again.
There are two kinds of GOG codes. Gift codes and bonus codes.
Gift codes are produced automatically when a user buys a game as a gift. Selling those is against the ToS. Gift codes are 20 characters long, and do not expire.
Bonus codes are produced by GOG staff for promotional use, or to give to publishers. Publishers can authorize the selling of those, or include them in retail boxes. Bonus codes are shorter in length (11 characters?) and have an expiration date.

So, if someone is selling gift codes, then that is 100% an unauthorized reseller. If someone is selling bonus codes, it may or may not be an authorized reseller, and you should contact the publisher for more info.

I've seen a difference in the length, too.

So, you know, insert your piece up there into my piece I wrote a few days back. And THAT's how you communicate to your customers! :)

Sorry it didn't work for you. It might mean your case is somewhat different.

I'm glad yours was at least solved.

Addendum to my previous post regarding the "Block User" feature.

I have blocked one person, they were added to my "Blocked Conversations" list, and I have the message
You cannot chat with this user because you have blocked conversations with him.
at the bottom of my screen.

Guess what else I have. I have this user jump to the top of my contacts list every time their status changes to "Online".
Seriously? I'm sorry, in what universe does it make sense to have blocked users (that's users one cannot, and does not want to, chat with) jumping to the top of one's contacts list pushing everyone else down the list, just because they logged in to the site or fired up the GOG Galaxy client?

Since blocked users stay in one's contacts list (which also doesn't make sense), wouldn't the logical choice be for them to say at the very bottom of one's list, regardless of their online status? After all, they're users one doesn't want to have anything to do with, and after they've been blocked, one can't interact with anyway.

You sure don't think things through, GOG, and sadly, you don't seem to even listen to feedback and reasonable suggestions.

Is there a post somewhere where you've detailed what you know about the problem? If so, can you point me there, please? I'm resisting the urge to pepper you with obvious questions out of curiosity.

That's fine. I have no problem summarising it again.
I still live in the false hope that some blue will pass along, see it, and say to himself: "Hey, look, mrkgnao is having a problem for the past three and a half months. She's such a nice gal, let's help her out".

On May 22 my friends page stopped working. It yields only gogbears (on any browser, any computer, any galaxy).

I am pretty sure it is related to a sequence of events that preceded the malfunction by mere minutes:
- On the morning of May 22, I got a chat from a spammer (danielx99) offering "cheap GOG games"
- I also got from him a friend invitation
- I notified Judas and rejected the friend invitation
- At almost the same time, some other blue cancelled danielx99's account
- And my friends page disappeared
- I expect somewhere there's a pending rejection to a cancelled account that kills all my friends, except for gogbear

I reported it to support on May 25, June 25, July 25. Enough is enough.

What I tell you three times is true."
