catpower1980: For me, it's clear he means the total sales on the period of the launch of the "1.0 version"

grimwerk: Can you tell me where that point is on his ROI graph? Does it coincide with the Steam Launch?
Logically yes, that should the point of the Steam/GOG launch (on 27 Augustus) Maybe the 1.0 was already available for the beta buyers one or two weeks earlier but it's the D-Day that counts ;)
Anyone remembers how Shovel Knight sold here?

yeah this is nothing new at all.
I can tell you why I didn't buy it. It just doesn't appeal to me.

catpower1980: PS: while I was searching back for this link, I also found out a Technobabylon post-mortem:
http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/248567/Postmortem_Technocrats_cyberpunk_adventure_game_Technobabylon.php
76 voice actors! Yowzer. Somehow it didn't seem like that many when I played the game.

The-Business: It would be really interesting to know how h bills his development and marketing time.

I'm just glad GOG convinces people to come here since I'll never ever be a part of that 95%.

Hmm . I don't see any tweets about the Gog release of the game .
Just that!? I was thinking that GOG would be responsible for a bit less than 10% of sales of a game. Maybe 5%. Now I know better.

Thank you for the information, catpower1980. You share lots of interesting links.

Shovel Knight not participating in sales on GOG can't have helped either.

This... though to be fair I only ever recall it getting a 33% sale on Steam thus far

That is true. The lowest price on Steam was 10.04$

MacArthur: Goggers prefers their RPGs I think. :)
yeah, business sims are not popular here, I think there are only like 10 in the entire catalogue
I'm glad the devs made money off their investment. Big Pharma is a pretty good managerial puzzler game and I'm enjoying it immensely.

Though I'm not surprised it didn't sell well on GoG. It was released during the massive Bethesda drop and sale, where we got Elder Scrolls, Doom and Fallouts series all at once. Those games dominated the website and store page for about a week. I think it was just unfortunate timing

It never got mentioned as "Upcoming," either. Just appeared out of the blue.
