ChrisG_: Shocking i know ! is it really that difficult for companies to understand that old games has a place even today and don't need to be buried 100 miles under the ground where the only option for some to get them is through piracy or other methods.

Old games when well made such as these classics can stand the test of time unlike many of your other games EA so there is no need to think of them as a badge of shame from the past as many large publishers seem to do.
Games such as stand the test of time from the player perspective. They are next to worthless to for profit companies as their revenue potential has largely been squeezed out of them. It's not a matter of shame, simply a recognition on their part these games no longer significantly contribute to their goal of profit maximization.

Essentially, their providing them for minimal to no cost is an act of charity as the money they bring in would be microscopic compared to any of their current offerings.

Amazing! Thank you GOG and EA!

It'd be nice to have some NEW games from EA also! :D Beasts and Bumpkins, Dead Space 2, SimCity 1 (even as a freebie), Hi-Octane, the C&C games, Sims Complete Collection, Crysis 2, Mass Effect games, etc.

Welcome back.
please someone explain to me what's happening: last month i couldn't buy the games because i had to stay at home because of the pandemic, and they would be removed from the site because of ea's request

and now both gog and origin release the games for free
what's all this for? someone explain to me
These were some of the first games I bought here but it's nice to see them return.
Any chance of more EA games coming to GOG?
Thank you GOG & EA :)
I don't want to hear any excuses now. Come on, grab those games!
I'm on a super slow computer right now, but if somebody wants to make a thread on Answers.EA thanking EA for this and asking to let them let GOG release more games ;), I'll post in it and offer up wishlist links for highly-requested EA games as usual.

ssling: Don't refund people, EA will conclude there is no more love for these titles after all and take them away again.
I find it bizarre that GOG even gives me the option to refund games I've bought 8+ years ago. o.O
Thank tou EA for killing these franchises, thank yoy GoG guy for renogiating the licenses.
Oh nice, thanks to GOG for letting us get the games for free!
I never thought that I would say that but... thanks EA, that is a great comeback!
I hope GOG can bring more classic EA games
I bought UU 1 and 2 a long time ago and I have no regrets regarding the price. I would have bought them at the non-discounted price back then too, though I did get it at a discount.

Glad to see they are freebies now for those that don't own it. Classic games that were already at a good base price, so any discounts are a bonus. :)

Thanks for the freebies!
