Enebias: Alll the people rushing to buy them before they were pulled might be (righteously!) pissed now.
this but i already bought them long ago , mostly on CD... also F# EA!!!
BTW: gift keys are lifelong (until 2199 year) ;)
Awesome and much appreciated -- thanks EA & GOG!

I hope this unexpected move becomes the start of something great between EA & GOG -- more EA games being released here perhaps? I'm ready!

That's so incredible to hear! I'm a huge fan of those games and was very upset when I saw they got delisted.
Thank you!
Those who never tried them, Will be lucky to experiment four of the best AAA Golden age DOS games ever made.

Very nice move from the publisher. The message demonstrates that they understood and sounded out the situation. I guess that GOG has (also) something to do with this.

Foxhack: I bought ultima underworld just before it got delisted.

I just requested a refund and it's pending. :)
I really hope you'll get banned for this.

I've bought Syndicate Wars along with 2 games at Jun 14, so I'm not eligible for a refund. But, nonetheless, I have the option to ask for a refund (only to syndicate wars). I think GOG did this for everyone that rushed to buy it.

I'm not doing because it was too cheap, so I don't think it's worth it.
Alread own all of the free offers, but it's awesome to see the regular freebies program being continued!

Much appreciated GOG!

Meh, it was $3. It's not worth asking for a refund. It could also have been the rush of people buying them before they were pulled that convinced the publisher to put them back.

Dogmaus: yep, I feel bad for those who got them at full price out of FOMO and now see them back as freebies.
They weren't full price, they were on sale for super cheap.

Nope, got the UU games for $1.49. You'd have to be astoundingly petty to be pissed over spare change like that.

wolfsite: Now I'm confused as to why they were de listed.
Most likely the original contract expired and the bureaucratic gears in both companies run more slowly due to the pandemic - took longer than normal to renew the contract and it lapsed in the meantime.

It's not about the price, it's about the cunning move.
Pulling stuff increses sales; wait a bit, then release them again to seem the good guy.

Besides, any cent paid to corporations is often a cent too much.
I got Ultima Underworld 1 & 2 back in April for $1.49 and have no regrets over it. This is a great game and anyone that hasn't picked it up yet should give it a go, especially as it is being given away for free.
I already have these (had bought before), but tons of EA stuff I'd gladly buy that aren't here.

* C&C series. Especially remaster.
* Armies of Exigo
* Sims 1 and 2
* Heck, even though I own 100% of Sims 3 [yes, including all the thousands of mini-DLCs], I'd probably consider getting it again for ease of reinstallation.
* The Sims Medieval
* Tons of the Maxis games that aren't here (though some are Win3, which can be challenging to get going): SimEarth, SimAnt, SimFarm, SimGolf [which was with Firaxis], SimCity Classic [best as a freebie], SimCity Societies (even though it wasn't too great), SimTower [even though there are great remakes], and MORE!

...and I'm sure plenty of others.

EA not putting stuff here is literally leaving money uncollected.
