Carradice: Never tried it so far! Wondering whether I ought to sink my teeth into some of the regular Ultima games in order to appreciate it or not. Does it stand alone well?
UU1 is completely stand alone AFAIK. UU2 on the other hand takes place after U7 and there are some nods to the plot but nothing crucial, you'd just have better understanding of some things knowing U7.

That's new, because I get the same thing now and didn't at first. Probably a way to stop people from grabbing extra keys again, and wondering whether it's a sign they'll invalidate the existing keys too, as they did with the Syberia bundle.

IronArcturus: Yeah we need to get Dead Space 2! I'm surprised GOG doesn't have it since the first one is still here.
I can't bring myself to buy Dead Space on here or PC in general as both this and Force Unleashed have DTS sound support on the PS3 but it has never been patched for the PC.
I like how at times like this audio is considered an afterthought on PC games.

Green_Hilltop: Awesome! I wonder why are they giving them away, is there going to be some sort of a new UU game or something from SW to promote it? (maybe the UU Kickstarter that panned will be released here, and this is a promo for it)? Or is it just to celebrate them being back on the store?
because they're ancient games that should be given away in a box of cereal.

That'd be a bonus for a purchase then, not exactly giveaway :p
Now there's the question about how long copyright should last, in terms of exploiting a release commercially, but other than that, and speaking in general here, not necessarily about these specifically, even in a medium that advances as much as IT, there are old games that remain worthwhile, and even more that are notable and worth remembering and appreciating as achievements in their time and for their influence later.

I bought the games before removal and now that they are back and want to get gifts it doesn't work since region.
