Ancient-Red-Dragon: I played Doom 3 when it originally released and it was easily the worst FPS and one of the worst games in general that I've ever played.
I have absolutely no idea why it seems to be very popular among most GOG customers.
95% of the gameplay consists of walking into a cramped closet, blasting some imps, then turning around and blasting some more imps who spawned behind you, and then repeating that same exact process another few hundred/thousands of times. I find watching paint dry to be more fun than that. And repeating that same process an infinite number of times in a row is also not the least bit scary either, so it also fails as a horror game.
But I guess it's a good thing that GOG and/or Bethesda have somewhat listened to GOG customers who wanted the original Doom 3 and finally responded to that request.
If only most GOG customers would
also get behind the idea that GOG and Bethesda
need to offer a version of Skyrim that has a 100% identical version number to the Steam version number of Skyrim, so that GOG's version of Skyrim will finally have
full mod compatibility with all the best and most popular mods, and stop being stuck as a vastly inferior version (which it otherwise
always will be if GOG and Bethesda never do the right thing by making the version numbers become identical between GOG and Steam versions) then maybe they might actually listen and offer a good version of Skyrim on GOG as well.
Were that to happen, then that would really be something worth celebrating.
, like how people want to see Heretic 2, Heretic 2: Portal of Praevus, and Commander Keen 6: Aliens Ate My Babysitter.
