Since Bethesda suddenly started to care about old game versions for some reason. Can we now get the old (original) version of Skyrim as well, like we should from the start!

Yeah, I would love to see the Original version of DX Human Revolution, I am lucky enough to own it on steam alongside the DLC, but it should be brought back considering its superior to the directors cut.

Same on DX HR - would love to see OG version on GOG with all DLC's and the TML Expansion.

I also "own" both Deus Ex HR & TML (original version) and Deus Ex HR DC on Steam, too.

About which version's superior - hard to say. Performance-wise, OG version runs way better and I like that you can do both DX HR base and TML Separately.

DC lacks the Gold Tint out-the-box (those that can be fixed with a mod), it has timing issues (Lucas Hale's Timer App can fix that), and it performs worse - BUT the Re-worked Boss Fights and Commentary are great features.

Original Skyrim looks colder by design, Special Edition lost this feeling dramatically.

It was the same with Wolfenstein 2. That happens more often than one might think (and it sucks paying for a package more than for it's components). I noticed one dev about that and in return he raised the price for the base version of the game ...

I wonder if there's some mods from OG Skyrim that flat-out just DO NOT work in Skyrim Special and/or Skyrim Anniversary.

What action_fan said about the colder feel is relevant but as a more general statement not limited to Skyrim I tend to gravitate towards original versions of games or before various updates as many updates make unwanted (to me) changes. Dead Cells and Enter the Gungeon are two perfect examples of that for me; the former got too complicated for my liking and the latter nerfed difficulty which I view as a very unwanted change basically any time it happens in a game. As for why I don't feel as strongly towards getting the original of Deus Ex HR, it's simply because I prefer Skyrim to Deus Ex.

It's just a matter of mod authors updating their work to be compatible with the 64-bit special edition. I'd imagine most of them have made the switch by now, but there may be quite a number of them that didn't. The SE is a lot more stable however, so there really isn't a reason to go back.

Nergal01: You can access RoE from within Doom 3 by going to the "Mods" section in the main menu. Select "Resurrection of Evil" and click on "Load mod".

Without something specific though I would be wary of defaulting to original Skyrim. It runs much worse than the remaster, and looks much worse with things like grass density and draw distance. The "it looks colder" thing has some truth to it, but I think it's mostly due to better lighting and not really an artistic change. It also depends on weather and will still look quite cold most of the time.
