Doom 3 is easily my favorite Doom game, even though it doesn't hold as much nostalgia as the older games. I absolutely love how it plays from start to finish. Perfect? No, but nothing is.

I would love to see the regular version o Skyrim to come here too.

Having said that, why is the game still not available as offline installers?

Thank you for the heads-up. They're now available for me too.

Thank you GOG, but Finally. This is really a time a blue should have at least come in and said something; I understand they don't want to make themselves vulnerable as a business, but it's pretty obvious there are problem(s): understaffed, and/or website barely held together, and/or Galaxy majority so installers can be ignored, and/or etc.

Pointless for me to boycott and I don't want this thread to turn into some argument about that, but I can't blame others for shopping elsewhere (especially for new games).

If staff happen to see this, Please don't forget to complete these wishlist entries:

Original Doom 3 and RoE are bundled as DOOM 3. BFG Edition is seperate.

ghst84: Hi. What is the source port for the original Doom 3 good for? What is its main function? I went to the link you suggested, but I couldn't find a definitive answer at its FAQ section.

IronArcturus: Has the Doom 3 game shelf problem been fixed yet? I see the Doom 3 logo but it's still a blank page with no installers.

ghst84: Not yet, as of this writing. Hopefully at the end of this day or sooner.
The "About" Section says the following:
dhewm3 is a source port of the original Doom3 (not Doom3 BFG, for that you may want to try RBDoom3BFG). It’s known to work on Windows, Linux, macOS, FreeBSD, OpenBSD and AROS, but it should work on (or be easily portable to) any system that supports OpenGL 1.4 with ARB shaders, SDL and OpenAL.
Compared to the original version of Doom3, dhewm3 has many bugfixes, supports EAX-like sound effects on all operating systems and hardware (via OpenAL Softs EFX support), has much better support for widescreen resolutions and has 64bit support.

It only supports old Mods if they either don’t require their own game DLL or have been ported to dhewm3 - see the Mods page for more information.

Note that while the Doom3 source code has been released under GPL, you still need to legally own the game and provide dhewm3 the game data to play. See the How to Install section for more information.
Hmm appears cheaper to buy Skyrim + Anniversary upgrade separately, unless I am missing something. But thanks for Doom.

Thanks.

It's good to have the definitive version of Doom 3 now on GoG rather than the worse BFG edition with missing content and effects and worse sound. Finally we can play Doom 3 with full EAX audio again!

tfishell: I can be patient, but if this isn't fixed within a few days I might refund as "punishment" until it is fixed + the next time it goes on sale. Don't want to of course.
Aye, it's only fair. Usually when you read an announcement you also expect that it was implemented and works as expected. But Gog is a somewhat quirky place... and tends to mean that it will work like that later or next working day. I understand that everyone wants their piece of original Doom 3 asap, as the 10year wait is now finally over.

Good people are saying that offline installers were fixed, so hopefully all is well.

You can access RoE from within Doom 3 by going to the "Mods" section in the main menu. Select "Resurrection of Evil" and click on "Load mod".
Did anybody encountered the issue with Doom 3, that the game is asking you to enter cd-key?

First time when I've launched it, everything was fine. But after I changed the resolution and closed the game, every time I'm launching it, it asks me about cd-key

I have some key entered for the second row, but the first one is empty. And it appears every time I'm launching the game, can't cancel it (game exit in this case).

P.S. To all jesters - no, it's not a pirate, I installed GOG version, received for free for owning Doom 3 BFG :)

I would expect this to be because of the multiplayer aspect of the game. You can find your serial keys in your GOG library for the game. Just choose the "Serial Keys" option from the "More" dropdown.

This is weird, I could swear that 3-4 hours ago it wasn't there available, when I checked. But now it is and it worked fine, thanks!
Euh, Commander Keen is in the banner, but it's not on special.
