I feel like playing something nice and slow-paced, that isn't too heavy on lore as I'm busy with college classes and whatnot lately. I also love numbers, so games that show you percentages, stats, etc. are very nice. DnD games are similar to this.

Any suggestions?
My all time favorites are the two Jagged Alliance games. Pretty detailed combat, quirky characters and only lightweight role playing aspects. They are a bit old now though.

Edit: for an excellent more modern game than the JA games, try- Expeditions: Conquistador

Wasteland.
Heroes of Might and Magic series.
Get these, they're free and really good. Thank me later. :)

most turn-based things I play are RPGs that have a lot to them are 50+ hours
Jagged Alliance games are always a valid option, but, if you want something less immersive try:

FTL
Doorkickers
Fallout: Tactics
Desperados
King's Bounty series.

mrkgnao: King's Bounty series.
I was considering this one too. Looks simple but fun.

"Best turn-based games"?

Isn't that like saying "Smartest kid with down syndrome"?

THANK YOU! I'M AN ASSHOLE! Have a good night! :P
Battle for Wesnoth - it's freeware, so it's not gonna cost you anything.
Shadowrun is a really good turn based series...
if you want something like chess there is also King's Bounty series.

@8BitGinno Pillar's of eternity is a real time battle with tattics pause.
