I am just wondering;

Name a game, which you have played and enjoyed, but was hated/disliked by most.

Personally, I would have to say Army of Two for the Playstation3.

It is a Third person Coop based game. I enjoyed playing it With my friend, but most reviews and comments of it were abyssmal.
I really liked Legendary. It had terrible reviews, and I can easily see why, but it was great fun. The stupid plot was funny, even the bugs were funny it was like playing a so-bad-it's good B-movie.
I thought Army of Two was a great game. If we are going to with reviews and hateful fan boy band wagons I'd say Resident Evil 6. It was a great game, very well made and looked great. My favourite Resi game in 10 yrs hands down. So many different game play styles keeping the game from being more slow corridor treks.
Tomb Raider: AoD

The game was shit beyond shit times infinity, and I loved every second of it. :P
Earth Defense Force 2017

That game is so bad I can't help but enjoy it.
X-Com: Enforcer. That game is so much fucking fun. It has next to nothing to do with any of the other X-com games, but it's a really enjoyable fast-pased shooter.
Rick Dangerous. Deemed horribly unfair (it is), but infinite lives cheats (that is : infinite re-tries) make it very much fun to play.

Jaws Unleashed. Apparently everyone hated it. The thought that anyone even could had never occured to me.

Post Mortem. Clunky adventure game implementing all of the genre's sins with stiff puppet-like 3D. People consider it a draft for the superior Still Life. But hey, I love it. Because atmosphere, I guess.

Also, do Yoda Stories and Indiana Jones' Desktop Adventures count ?

Postal 2, for some reason reviewers hated it. Instead I loved it, I loved the (hopefully distorted?) vision of US society and freedom. I replayed Postal 2 more than many rpg...
Two games come to mind but I'm unsure how much they apply to being "terrible."

Deus Ex Invisbile War (this did get positive reviews when it first came out but then people hated on it for all the "dumbing" down that it did. This dumbing down doesn't bother me much)

Alpha Protocol (opposite case here with bad reviews when it came out but the game getting a cult following i think.)

To be fair: Shit times infinity equals infinity and if you add up one shit it remains infinity, so that probably makes shit less shitty rather than more shitty.

Alpha Protocol for me, too. It's my classic example of me loving hated games. It's one of my favorites.

I wanted it for my b-day, but a buddy said it got horrid reviews, so I skipped it. I saw it at a bargain bin store for 19 cents and picked it up, just to see what the hatred was all about. And I saw the bugs, I saw the problems they talked about. But the game was really, really good.

I loved the mechanics and the story was fun. Top notch? No. But really fun, interesting and completely unique? Absolutely.
Ravensword: Shadowlands (on the computer (linux))

Looking at the reviews, almost no one likes it. Thats probably because of its many bugs and its story.

But I've been having a good time with it!
Jurassic Park from Telltale is very fun to me, the precursor and test drive of the studio's QTE style carrying their HIT Walking Dead, and so on. Although following close to non-stop action, JP is a great game show, Episode 3 is great!

Also, Two Worlds II. Terrible French VA and characters, boring fetch quests, but the engine works great, the world is nice to explore, stacking system of items is sweet, this is a game entertaining as a game should be!

You Are Empty. Terrible reviews, but I really enjoyed it. It was something of an FPS arena shooter but with some vague semblance of a plot that was told through some really quite artistic cutscenes. Level design was also very good in places.
