Barefoot_Monkey: Cool, managed to get the "Always display shelf/list game count" thing working. If there are no complaints by the next version then it won't be labelled as "experimental" anymore.
Cool, that works perfectly now - a game just updated so I was able to confirm it for ya!

skeletonbow: Some testing feedback:
- My wishlist is sorted on GOG but when I sync it to gogwiki it is unsorted.
- Game update counts show up on the game shelf/list but clicking on the number to see which game(s) are updated does not work while the "always show game counts" feature is turned on.

Everything else looks and works great though, keep up the good work!

Barefoot_Monkey: Thanks for the feedback. Heh, I just sorted out the game count thing at last :) I'll have a look at your wishlist problem. It seems to be working for me, but could you reply with a list the first 10 or so games on your wishlist in order (or perhaps just a quick screenshot of your wishlist page) so I can compare the order and maybe figure out what is going wrong.

By the way, the wishlist on GOGWiki is listed horizontally (left-to-right), not in columns (top-to-bottom). Just a wild guess, but if you're expecting them to be in columns that could explain why they appear out of order.
Sure no problem. I just went and displayed my wishlist as sorted, then did a fresh sync to the wiki. Looking at the wiki page it shows the games sorted left to right in the "by date added" order rather than alphabetical by title.

Here is my GOGwiki page: http://www.gogwiki.com/wiki/User:Skeletonbow

I copy and pasted my wishlist in sorted order to a pastebin, if you still want a screenshot though let me know and I'll try to arrange that as well. I've tidied up the 50 titles or so, then left a gap with the raw cut and paste of the rest:

https://p.6core.net/p/kt0kPncoYLOjk7OOQsUT579K

I've noticed that if I go between GOG pages now and return to the wishlist page - the page starts out in "by date added" order always until I click on sort by title. Not sure when that started happening, but it might be a useful data point.

Let me know if you need anything else and thanks again!

Ah, that would be it - I'm always reading by date added regardless of which order you choose. That should be fairly easy to fix - I'll have it using the correct order in the next update.

Cool, thanks. I also need to thank you again for fixing a bug before my very eyes just now that I just encountered like 10 minutes ago and was going to report here once I finished replying to threads from last night... I just got the Barefoot Essentials update while typing which fixed the game count incorrect issue. LOL Damn you're fast! :)
Hi Barefoot_Monkey,

I'm just passing by to say that I'm "testing" Opera on my old laptop (I'm getting fed up with chrome and many recent bugs) and the first important thing I made was to add a speedDial to gog, the second was to get Tamper Monkey. Then I headed there and noticed your Original post didn't mention Tamper Monkey for Opera (at this point I noticed it was still in beta stage fyi).
Bottom line is : I got Tamper and Violent monkeys, dis/enabled and tested a little. It seems to work just the same. So if you want to make your 'installation' section even simpler, you know what to do (I personnaly don't know anything about those monkeys, I had no issues on chrome with the Tamper one, so I'll manage to stick it to Opera).

Oh and thanks again for your work and merry christmas and I wish everything good to you in this end of year.

Hehe, I love it when things work out that way.

I didn't know that Tamper was ported to Opera. Thanks for letting me know, and for testing.
Not sure if it is a bug in Barefoot Essentials, the gogwiki site, or GOG.com but I just bought some new games bringing my catalogue to 230 games and then did a barefoot sync to gogwiki. Barefoot detected 230 games during the process but when I go to gogwiki afterwards I only have 222 games showing.

I'm going to check again in a few hours to see if it was just transient but thought I'd report it here in case someone else is having the issue also, it's nice to have data points. :)

That is odd. I'll look into that. Mind if I ask some questions: Which games went missing? (Were they the most recent games you bought, the first few on your shelf, the last few on your shelf, etc.?) Was your user page showing 222 games before you synced? Does syncing again fix it? Do you get any interesting messages back from the server after syncing? (or does it just say "Your profile has been updated."?)

I'll have to investigate that and get back to you as it's hard to tell at a glance which games are missing. Shouldn't take too long though. I have it sorted by title so will need to go through a side by side comparison with my GOG shelf.

Not sure what the user page was showing before the sync for certain as I've bought a few games in the last few days and sync'd without really checking up on it so it's hard to say. I sync'd again though and the problem persisted even though Barefoot did clearly show 230 games in it's dialogue during sync. I don't get any error messages or indication of any problems client or server side when it syncs, everything appears to have been successful. I waited 15-20 minutes and tried syncing again and the same problem occurred.

I'll go poke around with that now and keep a watchful eye out for errors/warnings, and also bring up the error console to see if anything shows up in there.
Ok, I've narrowed it down now. I bought Surgeon Simulator on Dec 20th about an hour before the promo ended which would have been somewhere around 8:00am EST and it is showing up on my gogwiki. There are 8 games I've added within the last 36 hours not showing up after a sync to gogwiki so that helps to put a timeframe around the problem.

I'm curious though if anyone else can reproduce this too?

Update: I just noticed that games added/removed from my wishlist did not get updated also, so it is looking like the sync does not make it through even though no errors show.

Thanks. It seems to be something on the wiki side of things, but it really shouldn't say "Your profile has been updated." unless the sync was successful. I'm not sure what's causing the problem for you but I'll see what I can do.
Just saw your post and decided to try syncing again and this time it sync'd properly. Dunno if Essentials was updated or if it was just a random transient of some kind but the problem seems to be solved at least for now. :)
Syncing seems to not be working anymore for the last few weeks now. I cleared cookies and cache on chance that might help on GOG and GOGwiki, relogged into both sites, resync'd my profile with Barefoot but just keep getting:

"Sorry, but we are experiencing problems with handling syncing at the moment."

Firefox 26 on Windows 7/x64

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the bug report. IAmSinistar beat you to it via PM though ;)

It looks like this affected everyone who's library+wishlist contained at least ~140 games. A few weeks ago the PHP on GOGWiki's server was updated and the newer version has a security feature to limit the number of things that can be posted to it in one go, and this breaks the syncing feature.

I just finished an update to the syncing code on GOGWiki and to the Barefoot Essentials user script which changes the way the data it sends is encoded so that the server accepts what is sent to it. So as soon as you receive the update syncing should work again.

Cool, just updated and the problem is resolved. I've got 241 games and 135 on the wishlist ATM. I guess IAmSinistar and I are very wishy! :) Thanks again for another quick fix!
