Chronon88: Can I request a feature here?

I'd love some kind of implementation to filter out new games. All of them are clutter for me since I'm not planning to buy any of those from gog >.> (I like to have them all in another place with some extra features ^^")

Well Witcher games are an exception for me. Maybe some simple button to turn the filter on and off or a tab for only old games, only new games and both for the original view.

If that's too complicated at least some kind of sort by release date feature on discount pages would help me to figure out which games are more probably gog optimized.
Why don't you try this great search engine specifically made for GOG.com and maintained by mrkgnao?
Am I the only one that, since summer sale started, gets BE2 changelog every time I load a page in the site?

It definitely shouldn't be doing that. That would get annoying quickly.

I'll try to reproduce it on my end. Which browser are you using? Are you visiting www.gog.com or secure.gog.com?

www.gog.com, but it has stopped about 15 minutes ago...
Really strange, can't seem to be able to reproduce it again for the sake of debugging.
Edit: thanks for taking interest though :)

I just noticed an odd thing: while the extended Account drop-down menu works flawlessly on any forum page, it doesn't appear at all on the front page. I'm not sure if something related to the Summer Sale format breaks the script, but it's like not having it installed at all.

Anyone else having this issue?

Yep. Also, whenever I post in the forums, then refresh the GOG homepage in another browser tab I'm automatically logged out of GOG and have to log back in again (GOG site flaw I presume), however whenever this happens barefoot essentials re-displays the new release splash screen every time, as well as the first time visiting gog.com after a browser restart. Just started doing that in Firefox 30 a few days ago.

Yeah, that's what I was trying to describe above. Happens on www.gog.com and secure.gog.com for me.

I do refresh the GOG front page whenever flash deals expire, but I don't get the issue both you and Shambhala describe - maybe because the front page acts as if the script is not installed at all?

Dunno, but it just started happening roughly the time the sale started with Firefox 30. It happens on any page on *.gog.com though for me not just the homepage. It could be some weird interaction with Firefox 30 perhaps. I've noticed various oddities in Firefox 30 so far.

I'm getting that occasionally too, but next time I try it's always working again so it's hard to get to the bottom of. I'm not sure but I suspect that the site may sometimes be replacing the menu after the script makes changes to it, undoing those changes. I'm thinking of using mutation observers in a future version, which should be able to better handle this situation.

Thanks for the reply.

It's no big deal, as I always have the General discussion page open. I only noticed it because ever since the Summer Sale started, just now was the very first time I got the full menu on the front page, it's been consistently missing during the past two days.

The wonders of GOG... ;-)
Same with me: on the front page, I've only ever been getting:

My Account > My Games | Messages | Forum replies | Logout

A minor issue though.

EDIT: Weird, just now I got BE's whole range of dropdown list options on the front page. Leaving the font page and subsequently returning to it once more yielded only the default list once again.

Would it be possible to have the addon display a total count of all of the games on the wishlist page at the top of the page somewhere also like on the main game shelf page? Would be a nice addition.

Wouldn't that require the site to actually have this info somewhere (like the total game count) for the script to pull it?

It could just count the entries in the DOM for that part of the page, going by div or whatever is unique enough.
Just wanted to say thanks. Looks like it will be a great addition to my browser!
