Pretty interested to see what kind of direction they are going with this.

yanko44: The picture used for the title looks a bit cartoon-ish.
Isn't that the 2005 logo?
This game will be better than Pillars of Eternity?

DieRuhe: Spent countless hours in college playing The Thief of Fate. Now that's a good old game.
Still have all my hand-drawn maps. In my closet.
I'm happy with how Wasteland 2 turned out so they will get my money for a Bard's Tale game even if I did not play the previous games.

inXile showed they can deliver so I feel comfortable in backing them. After the Double Fine awful project management, inXile was a pleasant surprise in this respect.

I got this picture from Brian Fargo's Twitter.

Daliz: Good thing it's not a sequel for the 2004 game. Because I think it sucks.
:(
You're mean! :P
I really don't get it why some people hate this one. Really. It's a nice reboot!

Hehe :)
I don't really like action-rpgs these days. The humor was good as far as I played it but I got tired of the gameplay very fast.
In which new way our "loved" protagonist will ruin/hurt the world where he habits? The talking rat will be free of him?
The ghostly dog will hunting his "loved" master ?
I really like the sarcastic style the 2004 game has going for it. It is a bit bland at places and the action tends to get a bit numbing, but I do like the jabs it takes towards the genre cliches.

This is great news! Bard's Tale 1 was the 2nd PC game (after Starflight 1) I ever played (1986 or 1987 I think). I enjoyed mapping out the dungeons/town (towns in the 2 sequels) but I can also appreciate auto map. As someone said earlier: "Bring it on!" I'll be backing the KS.
Bard's Tale 4 Kickstarter starts on June 2nd

I'll be putting in for that. GOG option for redemption as well.

Cool! I'm in for that.
The Kickstarter campaign for Bard's Tale IV has begun: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/inxile/the-bards-tale-iv

There is a special offer for the first backers: pledging 20$ or more within the first 24 hours, you will get a copy of The Witcher (on GOG), The Witcher 2 (on GOG) or Wasteland 2 (on GOG or Steam).
The kickstarter is a little vague, but I backed it all the same.

If they come out and tell some more about the game style they intend, my pledge may go up.
