Hope we will see it on GOG too!
Good
No news about Wasteland 3?
Looking forward to it! Great game.
Hopefully it doesn't require drawing a map yourself to graph paper...
I am left unsure by the article, is this going to be KIckstarted like the last two or are they now self funding?

Yeah, they're planning a Kickstarter for this.

Hopefully it goes as well as WL2. Although will they use the old Bards Tale 1-3 perspective?.

@BrianFargo Is this game will be closer to 2009 Bard's Tale or to "classic" ones?

Yay! I'm so looking forward to this. I'll second with hopefully they will have a in game map system to graph as I don't want to go through graphing all those dungeons when I was a kid. I don't have that kind of patience anymore =P

I guess I'll have to set some funds aside for this kickstarter. Bah I have yet to make my donation for Shadowrun Hong Kong still =P Looks like a good future for PC RPG gaming ^_^
Loved the 2009 Bard's Tale, but will be nice to have a real sequel. I also remember days and nights in front of my Commodore 64 with pencil and graph paper playing these awesome games.
Bard's Tale 4? I only heard of the bard's Tale, where's Bard's Tale 2 and 3?

If you buy The Bards Tale here on GOG, you will find in the game there is a way to play the original 3 games from the main menu. All three have been built into the modern version.

Edit -
The original 3 Bards Tale games were as I understand it, old school dungeon crawlers (I have never actually gotten around to playing the originals) where as the last one was a reimagining of the games with a more humorous twist

I'd rather have a sequel to the 2004 Bard's Tale. I know it's not the "real" Bard's Tale, but I love that game, had tremendous fun with it, and when I played it again last year I found it to be just as much fun ten years later. That said I will keep an eye on this one too, a old-school turn based RPG is always welcome.

I thought GOG's version of The Bard's Tale was basically Bard's Tale "4?" So wouldn't the next version be Bard's Tale 5?
I'm totally confused. Which one had the Beer song in it, will the new one have that, and if not, why do we give a shit if GOG gets it? :P

The guy should be grateful he got an answer in the first place considering that he misplaced the release date of the latest Bard's Tale by five years. :P

Same for me. It's a masterpiece that deserves a sequel in the same vein.
