Btw, what I don't like with image sites is that they usually never put the author name directly in the filename.
So they won't even receive the proper "publicity" from downloads & sharing, unless someone bothers with image search and such.

Well, many of these websites harvest, rather than archive. But even proper archives like danbooru can sometimes lose track of the artist and source, there's 90k items with the tag, "artist request".

Sadly yes. Anyway, Danbooru isn't exactly a legit source.
They're usually Artstation, Deviantart, Pixiv, personal sites, etc..

Indeed, from their visual novel, Everlasting Summer. I know nothing about it, but heck if these aren't pretty backgrounds.
I also really love images that show either a broken monitor or something coming out of the monitor.
