It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

djoxyk: from blues said on forum I had an impression they will fix gog mixes, maybe it's just what I wanted to hear, after all.

Cavalary: "we're still in the teething stages of the redesign, hold tight" doesn't really say anything. As someone else put it there, sounds more like "This answer is imho just stalling and hoping people are forgetting about it."
I offered up a decent redesign following the old design. All they got to do is implement it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

PS: I agree with you though.

Hate it. Hate it. Hate it. Where's my god damn list? A simple, text-only list. Instead I get this bloated mess that tries to be "hip and cool".
Now I can't see the ''Now on Sale'' page, doesn't load properly.

I hate how the scrolling deals thing omits dailies and things like the current Kingdom Come discount. If you don't include everything there, I can't trust it to inform me on the latest discounts. And then it shows 4 games under it, half of which are not discounted at all, one isn't even out yet.

Look, all I want is an up-to-date list of what's on sale, as soon as I refresh the page. The old design had that. As soon as I refreshed the page, the latest discount or sale would be the first to be displayed, and then it would scroll through the rest. The new one is strangely selective. It shows the Disney sale but nothing about the Defies Classification sale or the Kingdom Come discount. Like, why?

Oh, and the ''Now on Sale'' part of the main page doesn't even show all the discounts. Is it limited by space or something?

ShadowAngel.207: I don't like it at all.
What was wrong with the old one?

I hate how the news are at the very bottom of the site now.
I don't like that too, but far more than its placement I hate how uninformative the News section is now. You're presented a colored tile with a title (which they probably are thinking of removing as well, since it have words)... and that's it. You have to click and load a new page in order to have any inkling if that news is anything that interests you.

And limiting it to nine news in sets of three in a carousel was also one of the dumbest ideas in a spectacular storm of dumbness. Because no one ever stays away for more than the 4 days needed to rotate all the news out of that shit, right?

Edit: Excuse me, 11 news, I just reopened the first page and noticed that not all carousel pages have the same amount of tiles. But I also noticed that today (2018-10-18) there were 5 news posts, so it is very likely that the 11 news spots will rotate out of existence in less than 4 days...

I don't say this lightly but I'm really hoping whoever came up with this abomination will be fired and will never work designing web pages for the rest of their life.

surfersurfer: Right, If you enter only one letter it instantly disappears.
You have to enter two letters very fast then it works.
Maybe its a good sign that they are now working on the page.

edit
In the forum it works but not on shop site.

fronzelneekburm: Sorry, it's probably a sign of the opposite. I've had this exact same problem since the redesign launched.

i_hope_you_rot: I hope the script team will fix it and i can use the classic Gog store theme again .

I miss this

or this
Well i certainly hope we can get at lest one of the older designs back.

I wasn't around on GoG when the first design was still present, but I really like the look of it.

Second one wasn't bad either.

Now well... Store is pretty much useless, its unecessarily huge and everything pops in your face not to mention the huge amount of scrolling for information (that could be conveniently present in one spot like before, not scaterd all over the place), GoG mixes are gone too, they were really helpful when looking for games and deciding which to get. News (well at least they show up now) also require a lot of scrolling, being located at the very bottom of the page. Dont like the "Curated collections" square tile style either looks hideous, and what's up with that? they aren't sales just links to some random games in the store (pretty useless to me). And while at least most things work now the login is still broken.
Would it really hurt their IT team/person if they didn't try to "improve the user experience" and just leave things as they were(convenient, not broken, pretty...) and focus on more important things, like idk MAKING OLD GAME PATCHES AVAILABLE for download?

So no gogmixes. That's another bummer. These were really useful for a Linux gamer and beyond. How will I know if the developer plays nice or naughty and updates it's game properly? Oh wait, maybe that is the point of removing them? Who knows...

Some of them was really funny and it no other store had this feature. Who on earth come with the idea to remove them.

Maybe gog is really ashamed of this community we have here and want to have default boring shop without us lurking there with our gogmixes?
I needed those gog mixes so bad. Current tags are not good enough in my opinion to cover what the mixes did. Also when I try to sort the store to show the oldest games first, they don't pop up in the proper order. I really want something to sort them for year of the original release.

Two things bug me about the new layout on game pages:

1) Not having the spec requirements for a game at the top of the page on a side column (like before) to tell immediately if there were going to be any issues. Scrolling down to the bottom of the page to find them is obnoxious and easy to forget to look at.

2) Having the purchase button between the top banner image of a game and the lower information area. It's a cheap psychological gimmick that prevents a sense of closure in your rmind thereby drawing your attention to the purchase button and hopefully getting you to click on it.

Adding another piece of feedback to the pile
The old design was amazing at giving you all the info you'd want as a regular customer in a compact format. Took less than a minute to check if there was any new release or sale I was interested in and if not I still got to see a bunch of recomendations below the main banners and a list of what's popular.
What we have now takes too much effort to go through, both from having to scroll more for the same amount of information and the mental drain that is all these flashy banners that don't follow any hierachy. What's with the windows 8 looking list on the bottom right for example? Sizes seem random, titles are vague and they aren't even being shuffled.

It feels like it's been designed to attract one-time clients and I can't imagine them as the main demographic. As a repeat customer it now takes just as long to browse GOG than it does checking the competition and those tend to have all the games present here plus more so why ever go here first?
Worst part is that if I ever want to start browsing the front page regularly again I'll need to use a custom CSS script and those don't seem to be supported by GOG Galaxy so I'll have to juggle both.
This is the first I've seen it and I don't like it. The old site was much better.

There are also issues....my Games list won't go to page 2, or change to alphabeticfal.

Give us back the old site, or at least the option of going to it.

I wont start a new thread just for this, so here GOG, my attached picture contains information I found on the Dark Web, I had to pay good money to get it from those hackers.

I figured this information must of been impossible to get, so I made it my purpose to find it for you. I do realize that my life may be in danger now....

Totally agree with everyone here, the "New" site sucks.

Soooo many sites are going/gone down this new design route, and now totally ruin the user experience.

Ebay, the last major update has been one step too far, for me, and the whole site is one gigantic cluster fuck. I see ads that no longer give me information that you would think would be THE most important info on a auction site, such as time listed, time ending, bidders, etc... The lengths you now have to goto just to get something, anything, is not worth it anymore.

Arstechnica, went through a major re-design and it sucked ass. Never went back. The old design was perfect, and the way the news articles were laid out made it easy on the eye, and easy to navigate.

Reddit, not the shining beacon of web design, or places to goto. But, it's design was nice and simple. Thankfully, after a massive fuss made by the community, you can now go back to reddit old.

These are just a few big sites that have had major changes that sucked, or still suck.

Now, why can't Gog offer the "Old" site to those who prefer it. We can select this in our control panel/settings, then those that like the new Gog can also do the same for their preference.
Hovering your mouse pointer over a title, only for a Youtube video to pop up and play, is so damn annoying - especially the more you do this, the more bloody annoying it gets. What happened to a simple screen shot ?
Still waiting for list view, with genre and rating easily viewable.
