Milkstone Studios already released something DRM free on IndieRoyale, so maybe we got a chance.

Sounds like a nice FPS roguelike but really nothing like Heretic/Hexen.

The third video around the half-minute mark: again stupid BS unlocks. Seriously, what is it with unlocks these days? In Hexen you didn't have to unlock any of the classes, you just picked the one you wanted and started playing. But no, can't have that, must turn everything into a grind these days.

This appears to be much more like Tower of Guns than Hexen, it's not what I was expecting at all. Not that I didn't enjoy both games, but a fan of Hexen is not necessarily going to enjoy this game just because of the shared aesthetics, the mechanics and design appear to be very different.

True, true, but it sure looks like it was inspired at least in part by Heretic, HeXen's predecessor. The whole twitch shooter with magic thing makes it look similar, but we wont really know till it comes out.

Agreed, I'm not a fan of that either.

On a positive note, the visuals makes me think this is roughly what a Torchlight FP would look like.

I agree with both comments. Hexen had some sort of scary/claustrophobic vibe that I'm not getting here (at least from the parts seen) but it feels a lot like modern levelling-up-character Heretic. Voted and will purchase eventually.

On one hand, pretty cool. On the other, I really doesn't remind me of the creepiness of Hexen/Heretic at all. What it DOES remind me of? The Catacomb Abyss, which would still be pretty cool!

Hopefully this gets out on here. Definitely not the same creepy vibes as Hexen. More colorful like Heretic. Either way, looks fun.

Asked the developer on one of the Youtube videos, hopefully they can bring it over.
