JesperU: Vegan bacon is not unhealthy.
I'd argue that it's also not bacon.

Anything not made by meat that calls itself the same thing, such as vegan food, is all but a lie.

Vegan food is such a betrayal of life.

Fairfox: I did try bacon choc once but it tasted like crap. Hmm, I probs had bad quality bacon choc... Unless it's all bad quality.
In my experience, they'll typically skimp on the quality of the chocolate on chocolate-covered items depending on where you get it from, which is all wrong.

skeletonbow: For example, one thing that is fantastic is something I call "zuccizza" which is a combination of "zucchini" and "pizza". I basically cut zucchini in half the long way, hollow some of the inside out to make them like little boats, then dice up whatever pizza toppings I want to put on them, mix it all up and put a little sauce on them with the pizza toppings on top. Sometimes I have them all vegetable, and other times with pepperoni or bacon on top, but the majority of the meal is on the healthy side if not entirely healthy stuff.

Crackpot.756: That actually sounds good. Thanks for sharing.
Zuccizza is really good, but the trick is to dice up all the toppings very fine or even use a food processor to dice them up, then mix them together in a bowl in the proportions desired. That makes it easy to scoop just the amount needed into each zucchini boat. The first time I did it I had all the toppings diced up individually and tried to sprinkle them one at a time on top of each zucchini, but it is hard to figure out the right proportions and you end up over-doing it or under-doing it. :) That's when I thought of blending them all together first, which works out great. :)

Balsamic vinegar is also good on it.

skeletonbow: Bacon - while fuckin unhealthy as hell however will never be pulled from my dead rotting hands. MMMM bacon! :) I just don't eat a lot of it nor eat it every day, but I definitely enjoy it when it's on the menu. :)
avatar
Crackpot.756: Yeah I miss bacon.
Unhealthy or not, you can never get enough bacon. :)

+1 :)

Yeah, chocolate covered bacon is fantastic. Bacon brittle is also amazing but definitely on the "very unhealthy" side of things. :)

A few years ago I started to take oxandrolone and buy hgh. I was really fat and wanted to gain some muscles. I actively attended gym and followed low carbon diet. By the help of steroids I quickly lost a few pounds and now have a toned body. PS I had 80+ pounds weight.

Emachine9643: I never understood these, how can you get milk from them if they don't have tits?

skeletonbow: Almond/cashew/coconut milk is awesome. :) Best part is I can make it myself too, cashew milk is the easiest and doesn't need to be soaked first, so I can just buy a big bag of cashews and keep them in the freezer, take 1 cup of cashews out, throw 3-4 cups of water in the blender with it, blend the crap out of it and unlike almonds - it doesn't need to be filtered. Fresh cashew milk ready to go. Compare that to raising a cow in my backyard or closet or something and well... I'll take cashews and almonds any day. So much easier and tastier. :)

GoGreen Coconut Milk is my all time favourite. I use it in everywhere as an alternative to regular milk (I tend to get fluffy and "drugged" on both the protein and the lactose). There is a condition in the body where it can't break down all of proteins, and the response is "fatal".

I never understood all the fuzz around saturated fat, especially bacon and egg... Problem was never about that. The problem was in the amount of salt, sugar, fat from plants (due to more omega6 vs omega3), and light carbs (like light bread). My worst enemies are hyperstress, eating, allergy and not sleeping well so I've been obese several times, but fat (especially fishfat) is the only thing that keeps me really full and hold on longer in the gym (and bed but that's another story).

Tried Almond milk though, that tasted like pure "s&%&#&", so kudos for everyone liking it :-D

EDIT: Have to try cashew milk one day, thanks.
