Yeah, but this had potential for a lot more games to disappear - and consider the Nordic games issue was with a single publisher. This was one of the things we discussed with them in Poland (but couldn't say anything). I still can't discuss details, but I was fearing it would be much worse than this.

Good to know it's only 15, sad that a sale isn't happening (though I guess that would mean you actually got a hold of the publishers). Do you want us (the community) to see if we can reach said publishers or best to leave that to you?

I dunno. I had a lot of fun with Mutant Mudds, and that was well before the Steam version even appeared. That being said, yes, there had been an unfortunate trend of developers falling back to "second choice" platforms such as Desura and GOG when rejected by Steam, and then dumping their early adopters unceremoniously when GabeN opened up his "glorious arms" to them. You get a similar situation with itch.io these days. There are so many dishonest fuckwits among indie developers who pretend to be advocates of a more fundamental form of gaming but are no better than the supposedly dishonest AAA publishers when it comes down to the pursuit of the mighty dollar.

Slender was just a fucking horrible game on any platform though. The Steam version was basically just the proverbial polished digital turd.

Sad to see so many of them disappear in one go (I don't have the funds to acquire the few titles I don't own yet and that I'd be interested in), but some of those titles (Slender The Arrival and Mutant Mudds in particular) are long overdue for removal anyway.

I was talking about numerical comparisons with past removals. They usually don't surpass 2-3 games, so more than 10 in one day is extraordinary.

At any rate, I guess the removal of Slender will make fronzel happy.

It would've made me happier if that dude just patched his game (after all, I did enjoy playing it), but I guess this is the second best option. That was actually the last thing Slender received a patch for and that took quite some time to show up as well. The reason it wound up on the list - or rather: the very reason I created the list in the first place - was the so-called Steam 2.0 Free DLC Update (you can read about that here).

No worries, I wouldn't know where to start either way :)

Tbh I'm sure you have actually tried though I think these should've been removed years back when the devs already were doing this.

well, positive point is: we get an official announcement warning this time
negative point is: we often never got such warnings in the past for previous removals AND informing customers/users on such things should be mandatory already

another problem, for me, is the whole store page suddenly dissapearing. would it be that hard to just keep the store page (which holds important info, such as reviews, but also minimum/recommended requirements, and devs/publishers information), but just remove or disable the "buy"/add to cart button ? i mean, is it really that hard ?

also, i dont know about other games but i do recommand those ones:
Fract OSC (have it on another DRM free store already)

Recetteear (in fact there a new game currently in the making by some other people that borrows many things to it, but i forgot the name, it had moon in the title, though)

Dyad (it's not REZ, but still has some REZ vibe enough to be enjoyable)

Miasmata is a rather interesting one too

I found recettear a neato gaimo and got it on discount,chantelise i was waiting for a discount for very long,but it didn't happen guess i am gonna buy it now.
I can already see gog making big money with some dissapearing games,am kinda afraid that chantelise won't show up.
