l0rdtr3k: Gakkou Gurashi if you want something that deconstructs the moe genre.
HunterXHunter for great Shonen action
Baby Steps and Yowamuchi Pedal for awesome sports anime
Jitsu Wa Watashi Wa for good comedy
Don't forget Kuroko no Basket. :)

Or Haikyuu, and Hajime no Ippo

I'd recommend all 3 suggestions over Baby Steps/Yowamuchi to be honest :)

Elmofongo: Can I ask and I don't care if people laugh at me:

Is there are a Harem Ecchi anime where the male protaginist is NOT a naive, pussy-whipped buffoon and actually takes advantage of the situation?
avatar
l0rdtr3k: He is My Master actually has all of these and at least on Monster Musume there is an explanation on why the male lead can't take advantage.
Sure, for the first few episodes. It's gone after that. (referring to Monster Musume)

l0rdtr3k: At least they bothered to give us one and yes,I prefer Jitsu Wa Watashi Wa to MonMusu.
ANd the Parasyte anime is just as awesome as the manga.
I agree. :)

Detlik: I just need to recommend Ergo Proxy to everyone, absolute gem and an masterpiece.

l0rdtr3k: Firstly,hi Detlik. Haven't seen you in a while.
ANd finally,I would also recommend Log Horizon. It's SAO done right.
Hey there man, yeah I took a few years of retirement to sort various things out and zone out. How were things?

Also for this post to not go totally OOT I have to recommend Mushishi

l0rdtr3k: Mushishi is one of the most beautiful anime out there. Strong art direction and soundtrack.
I can't recommend this enough but you MUST watch JoJo's Bizarre Adventures and HunterXHunter.
Parasyte is also pretty great and Baby Steps is a surprisingly great sports anime.
I have seen JoJo's first two parts, have to yet get into Stardust Crusaders.

I haven't watched any other of your recommendations.

Did you see Madoka Magica, Monster, Magi, Pandora Hearts and Space Dandy?

l0rdtr3k: I only saw Modoka Magica. I'm kinda of a fan of deconstructions and ModoMagi, while good,is rather overrated and I think that Revolutionary Girl Utena is miles better.
Definitely watch Monster, one of the best thrillers I have ever seen

Just watched Mushi-Shi this past week! I wasn't really into it at first, but it really grew on me. It seems like now that I am a fair bit older, anime characterized by either character drama and/or historical drama are really interesting.

Does anyone have any suggestions for anime with good soundtracks? I really dug FLCL and Air Gear for the interesting music... just looking for something new.

The Rolling Girls? but that depends on how much you like the THE BLUE HEARTS.

l0rdtr3k: If I told you it has worse animation than the original, would you believe me?
I wanted to say that but I really not intend to ruin the fans' fun. If I learned something from my childhood because I watched these animes... then this was it.

No matter how I hate the 3D CGI in these animation (and not mention that it has no shader to look at least good), my problem is the story. It contains as much changes as the old one. But the old one did it right. The Crystal makes these changes at the wrong scenes.
