Several years ago my iPod touch's screen cracked, but was still functional. Recently however, the home button has been peeling up, black spots started appearing on the actual screen itself, and the earphone jack seems to not work right.

Right now I am looking for a cheap android smartphone to replace it, as I am not going to get another iPod, and wondering if anyone has any advice on what to get? I am going to mostly just listen to music and maybe use a few emulators here and there (GBA and maybe try up to N64). I don't really care weather or not the ESN is good or not, just a music player/emulator.

Also I should add, a decent video camera would be a plus for recording some of my guitar riffs, etc...

There are a lot of cheap smartphones out there. The HTC Desire 320 or Moto E (2nd Gen) may be of interest to you as they are around $100.
I'm not very knowledgeable with Smartphones, but I recently got a Droid Mini for free with a new contract. I like it a lot, much better than my old iPhone4, and it has a 10mp camera which is about the best I've seen for the price. Holds up games and emulators just fine, too, except for maybe N64, but emulating that kinda sucks in general.
After searching ebay for a while, I am thinking of getting an HTC One M7. Seems powerful enough for most emulation and is cheaper than any new apple product (never again) right now, so I am going to save money like that anyway :P

And by the way, those phones with bad esn's have some nice discounts. Perfect for me as I am not going to use it as a phone anyway.

I've tried it on many devices, I can only get fairly decent emulation on my system.

EDIT:
I decided to get the HTC Desire 510, found one for $35. I am pretty sure that the M7 was a bit overkill for what I was going to use it for :P
