NB: We now handle our gaming sessions in a Discord channel with a few, but good and polite players. We recruit new people as we meet someone awesome while playing so our small group is growing. I think it is also matter of people thinking they will wait too long if they join 1/10 game.
When I played fully random, people were changing and even if it was 3 or 4/10 remaining the game filled up but when I eventually ended up there myself, I couldn't get single person to join for several minutes before I gave up and left too.

It's at the bottom of the list as the games are by default ordered by number of players in descending order. You either wait long enough or start with a premade lobby of at least a couple of players to appear near the top.

True, but even if I was to scroll down to 1/10 I think I too would rather join some 4/10 in hopes it gets filled faster and also that it will possibly contain group who is likely to stay together and hopefully behave better than 9 who are total strangers to each other.

Yes, there is a positive feedback loop at work, the closer the room to the top the quicker it fills and the quicker it fills the closer to the top. That's why rooms with 4-5 people get filled extremely quickly, but if you start with just 1, you wait for practically ever.

Anyway, in our case, so long as there is a few of us we should be able to get a room going and fill it quickly if we decide to go with randos, or stick withourselves if we prefer that way.

Sure, I never make it into 9/10 rooms cause they fill up too fast so I go for 5-7/10 rooms (with non-dumb names) and am playing in less than a minute normally. When you say someday you mean next time we gather, right? For example Friday and/or Saturday?

I just remembered why I don't like playing with randos. We were about to win a game as impostors and while I was successfully framing a crew player the other impostor said "It's orange and me byeeeee" and left.

Yesterday we had Tangerine (orange) and Banana (yellow). "Coincidentally" two players dressed up after fruits show up. Then after Banana was impostor with Joe and I saw Banana kill, Tangerine says that Banana was with him all the time, so I must be wrong and magically knows that Joe is the other impostor.

I mean, why do people do it. I get it that you want to play with your friend, but what's the point of doing this?

Oh right, I had this a few times but was never on the receiving end. It was always some other poor shmuck who got outed by someone's dead friend. The game is fantastic but with the right group, otherwise it's just shit experiences over and over. That's why I was trying to get you guys on board - even with 5 we had so much fun!

Look on the bright side you can now can play a metagame of finding out who are friends working with each other :p

Full disclosure: I might act a bit "silly"(though not like some of the ones y'all have likely been playing with and mentioning so far) if I played the game with y'all. I act a bit more civilized here on gog(in part) due to the community rules, the expected decorum, and etc.

I mean, I remember playing TF long ago, and having people camping near spawn points and doing all sorts of dumb stuff....even with team mates.

He was a jerk as he just threw the game for no reason. He could have left without outing me so I guess he did it just to be a dick.
