$4.99 to get the program, plus some bonus goodies. The program itself comes with nearly 100 games and a ton of demos. There's also some sites that have downloadable games and legally allowed by the publishers, so no worries about breaking that law.

And yes, this is a legal emulator.

This is exciting for me, as I never had an Amiga growing up. I was more into the Commodore 64. Which for me was fantastic. Always wanted to see what the other system's offerings had though as I got older. But never got into it, as I soon went over to the DOS/Windows side, or rather my dad did, and therefore I did as well.
All hail the Commodore Amiga!

Legendary computer, just a shame that it never really took off in America.
Looking at your tag under name, I guess you are an Amiga enthusiast.

Any suggestions for games to check out?

So, so many amazing games for the Amiga. Some of my personal favourites are:
Turrican 1,2 and 3 but particularly 2.

R-Type 1 and 2
Speedball 2
James Pond 2: Robocod
Hired Guns
The Settlers
Carrier Command
Mega Lo Mania
Powermonger
The Chaos Engine
Lemmings
Pinball Dreams, Pinball Fantasies, Pinball Illusions
IK+
Swiv
Slam Tilt
Flashback
Midwinter
Cannon Fodder
Fire And Ice
Flood
Ruff n Tumble
Alien Breed series of games
Moonstone: A Hard Days Knight
Jimmy Whites Whirlwind Snooker
North & South
The New Zealand Story
Super Skidmarks
X-Out

Plus many, many more.
I now feel the urge to power up my A1200 for some Amiga goodness.
one of the games I enjoyed most back then was Death or Glory. Dunno if it would hold up today, but I loved it then. Even had its Poster on my wall ;)
I think one of the things I may do is look at my C64 collection for games I really enjoyed, and see if there are Amiga counterparts and check them out for differences.

Thanks for the list, and I will definitely run through those and see if I like any of them.
Thanks for sharing this. I miss the Amiga games but also the demo scene... good old days.

The Pawn
The Guild of Thieves
Nice, now I picked up thdarkwave bundle pre-order whilst I was there!
brilliant!
One word of advice: Stay away from the Amiga versions of the Bard's Tale games; they have some significant bugs (like paladins not getting extra attacks in 1 or 2, and 3 sharing many serious bugs with the DOS version).

Ultima 3 on the Amiga is a rather interesting version with some quirks:
* Rangers get about as much MP and MP regen as druids, making druids useless.
* Characters later in the lineup get worse accuracy; characters in slot 4 will miss a lot even with maxed DEX.
* The RNG is streaky (I suspect it might just be something like a single counter); spells that are supposed to have a separate 75% chance per enemy of working will frequently work on all enemies (even if there are 8), and it's not unusual for such spells to hit none.

Maybe later I'll talk about some features of the Amiga's OS that I find interesting.

Thanks for the heads-up. I might actually go for that especially since the few times I've tried Amiga emulation it's been a pain for me to set it up myself. Not to mention, not having to scrounge around for some shady Kickstart ROMs is a plus - actually that's probably the most important part of this package. I could give FS-UAE on my Mac mini a try again.

Out of curiosity, for those who've used AF before how well does it do the emulation part? Any hiccups at all? Are there ways to speed up load times of the old software/games or does it end up running at similar speed than actual Amigas?
