A couple more alternatives:

If you post twice in a row in the same thread, GOG will combine your two posts into one. The two posts cannot be more than a few minutes apart, and clearly, if someone else posts between them, they won't be merged. So you can reply, reply, reply, and if you're quick enough, they'll merge into a single post.

Yup I'm officially done with GOG forums. They refuse to fix their shit, Seriously this shit has been happening for 2 years now. They refuse to fix the forums or even care so I'm moving on.

I mean look at my Rep. It should not be able to go from almost 100 rep to negative 16 in 2 weeks because 1 guy has no life and decides he wants to ruin a forum because no one will give him free games. Hell I didn't even do anything to the asshole.

He doesn't do this because he doesn't get free games (I bet he gets more than enough with "clean" alt accounts). He does this because we give him some awesome forum drama in response! pimpmonkey's gone, gunsynd's gone, you're leaving now and others threat to leave too. nes400 is a useless wiener sitting in his small room at his mom's house. And you guys give him "power" for the first time in his life! Of course he's going to downrep you.

It's not that were giving him power GOG is. GOG is giving him the power to make infinite accounts and cause drama and down rep people with no repercussions. Then when the whole of the forum is asking them to fix it they just ignore us. Like I said I've been waiting 2 years for this kind a crap to be fixed and now it's more worse than it has ever been and the only solution to anything is to re add the block feature into chat which fixes nothing and just shows that they really aren't listening to the community anymore, but why would they when they keep selling games. God forbid they actually care about something else besides money.

Small correction there, he is not the first blithering ejit troll to abuse the rep system and won't be the last. Apart from the folks you named there are many others that have left or significantly reduced their forum presence long ago because of this nonsense.

It is GOG that has given abusers the power to take away the ability to post links from long time forum goers because of their shite system that folks have been asking to be revamped for years. But as we all know, improving the forum in any capacity is simply not on GOG's to do list.

Sorry, but I tend to disagree. GOG is giving him the possibility to alter a useless number below our avatars. The "power" comes from the drama and the people leaving because someone can alter a useless number.
You can still post links. They're just not clickable (there's a way to trick GOG's system and make them clickable). It's really irrelevant what the number says. You should be the one who knows this best. You were deep into the three digit negatives but still a very well known and accepted user. Rep is worthless.

I am aware of the trick you're referring to but it is not reliable, sometimes you can but sometimes you can't and most of the times its not possible hyperlinking a GOG thread or a post on PM/Chat. I do not care abut the number anymore, as can be evidenced by my lack of crying foul over it in the time I have been here on this forum.

Though I can't deny it is very annoying when I want to link something useful to help out some users with issues that I have some knowledge about, which I have never done for any brownie rep points or I would have stopped doing so long ago.
