It's sad to see something like this happen - because of legal/copyright whatever issues good, finished & working products must vanish from the store shelves.

Nonetheless: My respect to you for notifying your users! Literally +rep guys.
Why is this post not a news? Why do I have to read about it on other sites?
If on Monday there won't be a sale for the Telltale titles and someone is interested, I have many keys of Steam games and the mega-pack of GOG games to trade for the Telltale games that I miss.
Which of these are must-haves? I don't think I've ever played a Tell-Tale game.

Tales From the Borderlands. Even if you haven't played the main games.

Got that one from a promo a while ago, but never played it. Are any of the others also worthwhile?

Puzzle Agent 1+2 maybe. Walking Dead 1 is great but was removed a while back already.

chandra: Sadly, we need to inform you that, due to company’s closure, all the remaining Telltale titles will be delisted from our catalog on Monday, May 27, 10am UTC.

The titles are as follows: the Wolf Among Us, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Hector: Badge of Carnage, the Batman series, Sam & Max series, Puzzle Agent series, Tales from the Borderlands, and Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People.

For everyone who purchased any of said titles prior to delisting, the games will remain in their GOG library.
So if I buy before 12:00 in Austria I will still be able to get them?
All these games are trying to connect to a server at startup. Do I have to crack my legal copies?

They might just be trying to DL updates....did you block them from phoning home?
avatar
Jalixx3: Now I have remembered that I actually bought that one from the Telltale website. Uf, guess I'm never seeing that again.
avatar
Leroux: Can't you log in and download it from their website anymore? I see the website still exists, and I heard they removed the DRM on some of their games (no idea about TWD, but it might be worth a try?).
I appreciate you taking the time to suggest it, but I think the site is already down. Every time I have tried to log in, it says, "Looks like something went awry. Please try again in a minute."

My experience with buying the Sam and Max games from both stores is that the Telltale website versions of the games require you to log in when you start the game. The GOG versions keep the log in screen, but it is disabled. The screen disappears after a second or two. Is that what you are talking about?

The Puzzle Agent games are great with cool atmosphere. They do contain abstract puzzles similar to what you would see in a hidden object game, though, so they are not to everyone's taste. Ross of Accursed Farms did a great review of them in his Ross's Game Dugeon series (found on Youtube).

Game Dungeon is a great series, and that video was what made me decide to buy the Puzzle Agent games. I've played some of it and so far it's pretty great. Think Fargo mixed with Gravity Falls, and it plays like Professor Layton. It's a pretty enjoyable game even if you're not into traditional P&C adventure games with obtuse puzzle solving, since it's pretty easy to figure out what to do in order to progress.

A discount would have been nice... but sad the games are being pulled down. Can you recommend just one game from them? I was interested in the Batman game of the company but never did buy it.

The "Puzzle Agent" games are fun.
Just remember, if you spend cash on these games, the shit head millionaires who ran TellTale into the ground still won't pay their former employees the backpay that is owed.
