I shared it with every person I know or can reach. Will buying the remaining games on GoG which I got not over Twitch Prime but hopefully GoG will make still a Good Buy(e) sale for it.

Whoever is currently getting money for these Telltale games could get a boost in money if they allowed them to go on sale. I can't drop $125 on the ones that I want.

Strange that Steam has all these $24.99 games for $14.99 in the US.

Good points, but all/mainly digital dist. is going to be the future for many devs(especially smaller ones with no funds for physical mass distribution/etc) as costs of physical shipping go up and file sizes increase.

Plus yeah, the games may be gone on many legit storefronts, but for some that isn't a problem(i.e. they;'ll get it "other" ways and then buy it when it becomes available for sale again online).

Apparently they do the opposite. Yesterday the regular Telltale Collection page with bulk discount was still available on Steam, now it seems to have been removed and you can only buy the game individually at full price.

I guess what's currently happening is that all games are being removed in order to resolve who still has a right to sell them in the first place, so maybe at the moment there is noone who has the right to discount the games? Or that someone has no interest in it, because it's just some kind of administrator? Chances are the license owners of specific franchises used in Telltale games will be able to acquire the full rights to the games in question and make them return, if they so desire. Of course that's nothing but an uninformed guess, but I've read that 2K is going to try and bring Tales from the Borderlands back, at least.

And only Skybound rose to the challenge, despite 8 months having passed ever since the announcement of Telltale's closure. As a result, the only way to enjoy the majority of those games in the future (what with them being licensed games and all) without getting ripped off by unofficial key sellers on PC will be via piracy.

Just picked up both Puzzle Agent games, and I got Strong Bad for free a few months back (thank god it was on my wishlist). At this point, the only Telltale games I'm kicking myself for not grabbing when I had the chance are the later TWD seasons. I'm glad they're still available for purchase elsewhere, but I'm not interested in shopping at EGS; I just hope that its exclusivity is only temporary and that Skybound is willing to bring them back to GOG or at least Steam in the future.

Telltale's closure is still a huge shame for me. They're not one of my favorite developers, but their entire catalog is worth preserving due to the wide berth of licenses they were able to obtain. Sam & Max in particular is really distressing to see go away; The Devil's Playhouse was one of, if not the very first Steam game I ever bought, which was back in 2011, and the series (along with Hit the Road) is one of my all-time favorites. I never thought I would ever ask for Disney to buy out something, but it'd be fantastic if they could license-rescue S&M and Monkey Island and re-release them.

I just looked to make sure I had all the Telltale games, and I noticed Game of Thrones wasn't in my library. I remembered playing it, so I was confused at first. Now I have remembered that I actually bought that one from the Telltale website. Uf, guess I'm never seeing that again.

EDIT: It is a real shame that the Puzzle Agent games, Sam & Max games, and Strong Bad won't be available anymore (hopefully they will be back). Those are amazing games with great atmosphere. I must admit a soft spot for the Wallace and Gromit game, even if it isn't the greatest, objectively.

A sad day to be sure and one we all saw coming. But isn't this kind of thing part of the reason for GOG's existence? Getting games out of IP ownership hell?

Good thing I have all of the bonus discs they put out, including the random and out of nowhere "The Wolf Among Us" and "The Walking Dead Season 2" Signature Editions. Sadly, the launch edition of Tales of Monkey Island is gone forever... that might not be such a bad thing though, launch ToMI was rough...

Good thing we can still get them from our game library.
I have both Batman games, both puzzle detectives, Strong Bad, Season 1 and 2 of Sam and Max. I have Tales of MOnkey Island and Wallace and Gromit on disc, so I will download them tomorrow.

I have one Walking Dead season on Steam to download after that. And, then I have Wolf Among Us downloaded on another laptop, so I have that backed up already.

I did awhile back and have Walking Dead Season 1 in my GOG games too. I'm sleepy and I forgot to list it.

Can't you log in and download it from their website anymore? I see the website still exists, and I heard they removed the DRM on some of their games (no idea about TWD, but it might be worth a try?).

Sad for the Sam & Max games :(
