InfraSuperman: EDIT: Fixed a link. Stupid brackets.
I jus played a little this KQ1 remake. It looks outstanding (despite of 320x resolution), but this character falling down from almost every point is the game is (literally) killing me ;)

Have you played Flight of the Amazon Queen? It's free now, and it's brilliant.

If you like adventures with more "mature" themes and nice story twists I'd suggest the Black Mirror series, which is currently on sale, as well as "The Moment of Silence", which will probably be added in the very near future.

Those two are absolutely my favorite adventures, mainly due to their unique atmosphere.

You possibly might like Discworld 1, 2 and Noir as well. Classics and as far as I can remember they were pretty good and funny too.

loon: Wow, man! Those remakes are amazing! I'll start from this "new" King's Quest because it looks adorable!
They really are beautiful; and I actually consider AGD's King's Quest 2 remake to be one of the best adventure games I've ever played, which is kind of amazing, considering King's Quest 2 - Romancing the Throne was actually one of the weakest games in that series.
While their take on KQ1 was basically a flawless, direct translation of the old version to VGA graphics and a point & click interface, they went all-out on KQ2, expanding and improving nearly every aspect while keeping the basic core intact, probably because the original is generally considered to be the black sheep among the early King's Quest games.
That's why they named their version "Romancing the Stones" to distinguish it from the original.

King's Quest 3 didn't really need such a massive overhaul, but they added quite a bit there, so they opted to title it "To Heir is Human Redux" instead. As a very interesting contrast, Infamous Adventures' KQ3 is a very direct remake, with almost no changes.

They even managed to get King Graham's original voice actor, Josh Mandel, who was a designer and writer at Sierra Entertainment, to voice the character again in these remakes.

That's pretty much a staple of Sierra games. Nearly everything will kill you, so "save early, save often" was one of their mottos.

pezhead53: I'd defintiely recommend Wadjet Eye Games' catalogue. Most of their games use only one interact button, but a few do have multiple playable characters. Off the top of my head The Shivah, Primordia, and a Golden Wake are the only ones with a single protagonist.
Yes, anything by Wadget Eye is great. Gemini Rue's setting is also a dystopian future like BaSS. While it does have two playable characters, they each occupy their own chapters/settings, so it's not like you have to figure out which one of them does something instead of the other one.

Also try Hector: Badge of Carnage, if you are not averse to potty humor.

And Syberia is awesome.
