darthspudius: It wasn't an ass hole free one. So many pricks in a small building. Such a waste of money.

P1na: Community of certain places sucks.
Glasgow usually has a very good crowd, that is the shit kicker right there. Glasgow shows are usually extremely light hearted and friendly, even when it involves a black metal audience. But today, I'm sure that stadium was full of people who were not there for the music.

I can say that I enjoyed my stay in Glasgow, people were indeed pretty nice. Except for the hostel owner, charging for the internet per hour. Fuck that shit.

Henry Rollins used to do that the audience all the time. When you showed up you were actually encouraged to avoid getting close to the stage.

That is pretty normal in our cities haha. Best bet is to go a coffee shop and leach off of them.

He wasn't, but mosh crowds were bring taken over and killed by skin heads back then. I can only speak for the States, but mosh pits used to be fun until the skin heads started showing up, and I mean everywhere there was a mosh pit. I used to go to Urge concerts (great ska band) and see 3 or 4 of those fuckers standing around the outside of the pit just waiting to make a move. I don't know what pissed me off more, the fact that they ruined the pit or the fact that ruining the pit is the only reason they went to the show. Like a fucking Aryan supremacist gives a shit about a ska band! They weren't there for music, just fighting,

Sorry, I get a little passionate about it. Anyone who has ever been in a pit with genuine music fan/concert goers knows how fun and (pardon the melodrama) communal it can be, just jumping around, EVERYONE looking out for each other; if someone went down there were immediately 5 or 6 people reaching down to pick them up and make sure they were okay. You think a skin head looks out for their fellow mosher!? Someone goes down near one of them it was an excuse to kick a helpless man. Ruined the whole scene.

The only break was goth shows. The skin heads were to scared of them to go near those concerts, which is funny because the goth mosh crowd was usually the friendliest. They spent hours applying that makeup and didn't want to muss it up in the pit. :P

haha we actually have a big problem in this country. Skinheads do exactly this at any popular concert and the kids think it is absolutely normal and join in. I mean there was a circle pit of people punching each other last night during AC/DC's Let There Be Rock... seriously?! No head banging, no pogoing, no slam dancing. Just hair pulling, punching, kicking and slamming people into the barreirs.

I have had some great pits in my time Anthrax, Megadeth, Celtic Frost, Kreator, Destruction, Testament etc and not one of them was this violent. There were proper old school rockers loosing their cool last night and that very rarely happens.
