I already had it so I bought all the DLCs even though I have yet to play it.

Good move on GOG. I hope to see similar engagement to support Taiwan in the future.

Cavalary: Oh, in light of Swedrami's post, even more appreciation for GOG in this particular matter, finally breaking away from their "no politics" stance officially.

WinterSnowfall: War is not exactly "politics", at least not in my book, it is pure madness. Call me a radical pacifist, but I'd hold anyone responsible for an offensive war under accusations of genocide. Yes, that includes several US presidents along with a swath of dictators and autocrats.

P.S.: Bought the game and also donated what I could directly to the Ukrainian Red Cross.
War is yet isn't political as while it isn't inheritical political it often gets intertwine do to how often war has been waged do to political .. Its also why war while not inherently religious and not inherently ideological in nature .. war also is heavily tied to those things aswell

Its why many people on here often point out stuff like this or that is political for how heavily things have gotten tied to political factors for quite some time .. Just saying

Though that said War is to me if I am thinking of the right terms''Apoltical'' and also ''none denominational'' for all those things for how war can be waged over most anything even if usually anymore war has a specific slant to its usage

you do know you can donate directly to them, yes? which would mean they get more of your monies (transactions still costs).

For what it's worth, I've just bought this on GOG and Steam. Strength to the people of Ukraine. And strength to the people of Russia who do not support this attack (which seems to be the majority). I hope to visit both countries at some point in a more peaceful future.
May god have mercy on us all. God help the people of Ukraine.

I wholeheartedly agree.

War is political, but who gives a damn? Rules shouldn't be so strict to become stupid, a thread about a charity supporting victims of war has no downsides.
Unless some prick eneters and starts preaching about various insane idealisms.

Gogs rules are though so strict yet so loose they are stupid on politics to the degree this very thread technically breaks the rules they themselves have on politics given how they handlle threads that are only tangeltly related to politics way way less then this thread announcement here is and even when its just in game politics of fictional country's so we are seeing a double standard unless Gog wants to openly state they don't see this or that as political or loosen the rules to not be double standards

Additionally, everyone can directly support the local Red Cross offices in several countries and cities and ask what they need to help the people in the Ukraine, e.g. donations of clothes, etc.

German users can also directly donate to the German Red Cross and their help for the Ukraine. More informations in German can be found here:

The Red Cross helps all wounded though, regardless of side, including any Russian wounded.

With the current exchange rate, a cent would probably be like a months salary for you.

I don't have a problem with the Red Cross and support them (although I wish they noticed the war has been going on since 2014 and civilians have been killed all that time). The problem is with GOG - which is a private company selling games - when it instead openly embraces one side of the conflict and engages in political propaganda in its tweets (please add this to the long list of their dumbest decisions). Of course, I respect people who will disagree with me and I don't want to force my opinion on them in any way. I am just saying that personally I will no longer spend my money here.
