my name is coole catte: FFS. GOG's programmers are a bunch of clowns. The state of the forum makes that pretty clear.

EDIT: Or GOG management are a bunch of clowns and don't hire enough programmers for the workload. Could be either really.
A little from column A, and a little from column B.
Is this why they updated their privacy policy and user agreement?
Zero Day still vulnerable in Glaxy Cliewnt. Bug placed under CVE-2020-24574

Looks like the finder is willing to help close the hole if they want for no cost to them.... But I was wrong before, its possible the alleged attack vector is still valid and open at the time of this post.

EDIT: Or instead of spending money to hire employees, they waste everything on the first floor office parties thrown there, as the prima witcher 3 guide unveils.

I uninstalled GOGGalaxy and it will be uninstalled ...

[edit30.11]
...and installed it again. Too much fun to resign. I can manage any internet activity with my system monitor and firewall.

I haven't identified any suspicious activity while using Galaxy, this is a Windows structure that Galaxy relies on to control and manage administrator / system permissions. I also have no problems with automatic settings. I haven't found a single evidence of a real security risk other than a method that can lead to administrator privileges when you are in control of the system anyway. This issue IMHO can be addressed to Microsoft as well, Dear MS , GOGGalaxy team showed a trust to Windows System Structure (same as ATMs, and Hospital Machines) please take GOGGalaxy structure into consideration when releasing next Windows Update. GOG is bringing a lot of attention to Windows systems with its games and Galaxy, it would be lovely to see some Microsoft Support for GOG.com, some more assistance and cooperation in both System and Games. (psst release your games Microsoft here! it is time ^ : )

Anyway, I have two laptops, one with Galaxy on it, and one for off-line installers with crazy security :D
The only method that makes me feel really safe. ^

Has GoG made any progress on fixing Galaxy, or is the zero day still fermenting away?

"Progress" implies work being done.

Best way to avoid it, is to not use it. Lack of users may trigger a response from GoG to fix the problems or abandon the whole project. But continuing to use software that has such problems is pretty much saying that people are ok with it...
