Hey,
is there any way to play the games in windowed mode?
I tried D3DWindower, but it did not work for me.
I only tried that with Geneforge 1, as I never played the games before and want to start at the beginning.

I'm also curious if I can play this in windowed mode. Seems the perfect type of game to play like that
No.

5 you can.
The rest?

No.

Further investigation reveals that using the versions from spiderweb you can use D3DWindower. Might try it with the demos, then shoot them an email they'll probably give you a key to use if it works and you explain what be up.

Good idea, thanks for the suggestion. I'll try that over the weekend.
As I said, I haven't tried the other ones because I want to start with the first one.

I am having this problem as well. If anyone knows how to run Geneforge in a window (rather than fullscreen), please let me know.
I tried D3D on GeneForge 1 and...I got it to work. Its in a centered window and I managed to fix a mouse issue I was having (there was a cursor both within the window & outside on my regular desktop, which caused many a problem as they weren't aligned with each other).

Regardless, see the attached images for my settings.

[edit] That's odd. Its only showing one of my pics. But when I hit "edit" it shows all 4. Gonna have to figure this one out.

In the words of the immortal Damien Sandow...

YOU'RE WELCOME!!
So, I am running Avernum 1 in the window and it's fixed in place. Would this progam allow me to move the window around?
Not that I've been able to find. It may be possible by ticking/unticking one or more of the boxes, but I don't know for sure since I was happy with my end result of anchoring the window to the center of my screen & using ALT-TAB as needed. If you find anything though, please let us know.
