Awesome! Thanks!

Like everything on GOG, "it takes time" is a definitive answer.
In all honesty, I kind of expected it to be months/years from now. If it came out tomorrow, I would have to wait for a promo.

As it is, I am only 1/3 through Geneforge 2.

Honestly dude just enjoy gene forge 2. That series was the 1st game that I could play all day in a while. Although I didn't know the game's lvling aspect that much then, I still really enjoyed the story of that game. Ive now figured out the lvling up and skill point aspect of the series and am having a blast with my guardian in gene forge 3.

Yeah Geneforge 1 was great!
I finished it a few weeks ago, started Geneforge 2, then went back and finished 1 as a Taker (just for the fun of screwing with the other factions).
I've currently explored the majority of Awakened/Barzite areas in Geneforge 2, and am gingerly beginning to explore the Taker zones.

Shaper, all the way.

One thing I will say dude since your liking it. Is if you are having fun with the shaper, you should really try the agent class at least once in a future play through. While I may be gung-ho on guardians, the 1st time I played and beat gene forge 1 was with the agent. They are just like the shaper in that they are fragile, but like the shaper, one of the most tactical classes in the game.

I kind of got the impression that Agents were traditional mages, but with stronger melee skills than the Shaper.

It's hard to get away from the Shaper creation bandwagon.

One of these days, I will try Guardian and Agent.

Progress has actually been slow in general for me because the temptation of the canisters really has been quite the dilemma.
That's great news :). I also just got a reply from Spiderweb's support email:

"We would like this, but working with GOG is slow. We're talking to them now, and we'll see what happens!"

The bottom line is, EVENTUALLY something will happen.

That's good enough for me.
Yeah seriously, gog really has to do something about rpgs on this site. For the past 4 weeks its been nothing but crap (no rpgs) and the rpgs it does send this way are like horrible. If they cant add avernum then at least send system shock 2 or something else that is an actual game. Jeez.
While GoG has definately stepped up the quantity of games released, the average quality of games released seems to have gone down drastically. I remember being pretty excited when they started coming out with some of the old PS1 games, but nothing more has come out for quite some time. They have a lot of publishers/developers on board who have great games that have not shown up yet. I do hope that some of the other spiderweb games show up sometime in the next month or two...

I think that it is more fair to say that GOG has been diversifying their pool. The new games that are being added that are not older games are (in general) actually quite good.

It would be nice to see more old games added more quickly, though I imagine (for whatever business sense) GOG would rather not show all of their cards at once.
Well, I'm hoping they let them on in a big dump.

Just saw the Spiderweb Collection come up on steam, and then I was like "Awesome, I'll check out GoG" since geneforge came on both at almost the same time. *sad trumpet noise*. I already picked of the geneforge series on here, and I'd like to have my games all in the same place. Plus I love the extras, support, and no drm.

I guess thankfully for GoG, the Avernum games aren't really on any kind of sale other than that big bundle, which doesn't interest me since i already own geneforge, and I'm not looking to buy that Nethergate one.
FWIW, I own the original Nethergate and I think it's incredibly under-appreciated. Possibly my favorite Spiderweb game.
Welp, Avernum pack's here.

On the downside, I think I kind of prefer Geneforge to Avernum a lot and my interest in buying the Avernum has sort of diminished because of that. Whoops.
That is usually very normal. Most of the people that REALLY like gene forge as their favorite find Avernum games to be subpar. I however find that all of the games made by jeff are excellent. But thats just me. I originally after playing gene forge found Avadon to be terrible. Now I find that to be the opposite.

I think what does me in is the story of these games and the excellent storytelling and roleplaying elements.
I think I'm going to take a break from Thief and start Avernum, so I'll find out which I prefer.
