Yes the store page says galaxy online for online multiplayer.
What it doesn't state is that you need Galaxy signed in for offline LAN Multiplay.

Yes that's right it's offline mode requires an online connection because galaxy is being used as a defacto user screening DRM, which is nice if you are not a vista user still to which there is NO galaxy version available.
If you are you're fucked for LAN playing offline.

Looks like I'll be going back to the PS3 remakes of Gauntlet which are far superior in every single fucking way.
high rated
So this game cannot be played with friends unless you connect to the internet and ask permission from GOG, this is DRM in every way and what makes it the most annoying is how GOG pretends it's not.
Yes that's right.
Also 'Classic mode' is just pixelation mode; classic mode would be 2d top down using original sprites not just lowering the resolution to 640x480 on a 4k screen.

The game doesn't even have LAN dude. I keep seeing this complaint, but I've had the game for years on Steam, there is no LAN. Its either online, or couch co-op. Thats it.

Read the reply dates then derpy and i'm sorry if inside the game when you select local it has an option to make the connection online like if you have the 'option' of running either online or offline in a servered multiplay.
Go look at the game if you don't believe me or don't give a crap I don't care which.

Yeah when it isn't clearly written or explained; or even when it's alluded to on the website; yep definitely you are the derpy one there for not taking notice of chronology.

Was clearly written and explained in the store. "Online Requires Galaxy". You may need to read carefully next time, you won't look so Derp on the forum, for bitching about something that WAS clearly explained

Get the hint you can't white wash your own negligence in checking the time stamp on reply entries derp.
My concerns were legitimate at the time as evidence by the confusion surrounding the issue by more than myself.

I was answering your question, as I just got done reading the LAN thing elsewhere, you come out with an attitude. Maybe chill, you'll look like less of an ass. Not everyone is trying to have an argument with you.

"The game doesn't even have LAN dude."
'I personally knew better because I use a different digital service not all GOG users use.'
"Its either online, or couch co-op. Thats it."

Maybe check your own attitude at the door before having a bite at other users and their issues, I have little patience for those whose whole point of contention is that they are sick of essentially seeing old posts that have been dealt with 'because steam'.
Gog is looking into the issue. Check this thread: https://www.gog.com/forum/gauntlet_slayer_edition/lan_coop_without_galaxy
the lack of LAN play in this game kinda spits in the face of why I like using GOG.com. I didn't want to mess with all these restrictions just to have my son join me in the comfort of his own chair, and computer setup.
