Well, GOG cannot do anything with the game code, so if something was in the game, it is still there...

Yeah apparently it does, gog released the 1.4 version of the game. They need to release the version that doesn't have this game-breaking bug.

So can GOG release a previous version of the game, or could I get my money back? There was no warning that this was the version of gangsters that included the hoods don't go to trial bug. So I can't bribe the judge on the case, or the DA on the case to get the list of jurors, effectively limiting the hoods I can use.

This causes me to not want to even play the game since it's lacking features, please remedy this by releasing an earlier version, or at the very least warn people that they are going to be purchasing a game that has features removed in the latest version (the version you guys are selling).

GOG should seriously consider releasing the previous version. Can't be that hard, can it?

I asked support and thet said no dice. They "HAVE" to release the latest version 1.4

So in all honesty this game is broken.

Also, i would guess they can do somethings to the code, as they have to make modifications to the code to get the games to run,

The other thing is I *THINK* the bug is caused by the no cd patch that is required to get this to run on xp or later.

The game had these bugs originally. Here is a feew more I can remember:
- Either it was the smashup or maybe its the assault order that will ALWAYS fail, so you have to go straigth to torching or bombing.
- The trial thing was a well known bug. It only works when its YOU who is on trial.
- The hoods in jail thing was an anti-piracy measure I seem to recall.
- Kidnapping never seemed to work properly.

There where properly more.

smashup and assault both work, but your guy seems to need at least 3 in either fists or knives for it to work, and it also has to be higher than the guy they are attacking.

if your guy has higher fists skill he beats them down with a bat, or if he has higher knife skill he stabs them. the knife seems to do nothing other than make them scream though. smashup works too, it uses the same animation as throwing a molotov or bomb.


i always boot guys from the gang if i cant save them from being arrested, but last turn a saw in the paper that a guy was convicted of killing... himself
