This is actually a very good point, and something that has always somewhat confused me. I honestly cannot understand how torture and murder are fine for 15+, but show an actual sex scene between consenting couples and it's branded as porn and only available via certain channels (but only if it's not too "extreme" by the standards of 100 years ago or something).

It's probably even worse in Australia than most other democratic nations due to the wording in our "media" laws being from 100 years ago - we only recently had the ability to have an R18+ rating (despite having an equivalent rating for movies for ages already), but still every year we get games banned outright due to really stupid crap, like "real drug use"...

Because apparently smoking weed is really bad, but murdering vast amounts of people with automatic weapons and knives is totally fine...

Anyway, tangential rant over. Now, back to the current fight between the "No Tits-No Buy" crowd vs the "We don't care about breasts because none of our genders have them" crowd.... Did they?

I don't think they censored Cyberpunk, I think that's just more of the stuff that they cut because they fucked up. Like the bizarre 1st-person sex scenes - they're hilariously bad. But it's not like sex scenes really need to be in a game/movie that isn't porn anyway - unless it's done well. Like Team America or something... ;)

How CDPR lied about Cyberpunk 2077 being a true cyberpunk experience. They even advertised it as an adult game while actually just playing it save. In an older interview with polygon, they shot themselves in the leg.

They claimed this.
"Cyberpunk 2077 will include full nudity for a very important reason"

They lied and censored the game, hence why people wondered why they couldn't go full nude when they game released.
There is even a thread about that and was confirmed it was intended censorship.

There are speculation that CDPR went woke, if you take into account in what kind of state the game was released, it mimics Mass effect Andromeda release, which also only hired on diversity and gender and not on talent or skill.
And this was actually proven even more so on Andromeda, they hired people with absolutely no skill whatsoever and even actual racists.

Or this could be because of Sony new Draconian laws on nudity. Sony is even going so far that they want to tone down the violence.

Cyberpunk 2077 has full frontal nudity, for the player characters.
WHAT is missing are stripclubs and brothels and so on and on and on.

If you see YT videos NOT having the full frontal nudity, then that is why CP77 and
CDPR for that matter made an EXTRA effort to make sure streamers wont get
into trouble with nudity and IMPLEMENTED a OPTION to disable / enable
said nudity.

When you make such claims, make them correct please. Well bloody shocker i am entitled to have fun with my hobby i pay money for, no?

I wouldn't say making them available in character screen like that would constitute as what they promised what full-frontal nudity would be. If you read the Polygon article, you'll see that they made more promises than they could deliver when it comes to the true grit of cyberpunk. Not to mention when people wanted to make dirty pictures of their own characters it wasn't allowed and would auto-censor.

The really baffling bit about Cyberpunk is the insane ability to customise your genitals, only for you to not be able to show them in photographs.

Overall Cyberpunk just fucked up in so many ways we could be here all day discussing what went wrong there - the nudity (or lack thereof) is one of the least important things they failed to deliver in that game.
