There obviously was an update to the offline installer files (setup_galactic_civilizations_ii_ultimate_edition_gog-3_(70643).exe) for galciv 2 but (as usual) gog.com did not bother to offer us any information/explanation WHAT was changed/updated.

Does anybody know? Thank you!

It would appear they rebundled the game and probably Galaxified it. They also removed the patch; presumed preinstalled at this point.

Thank you very much for this information! I can live with rebundled installer files without any real change to the game (but will still also keep the previous offline installer files - just to bei safe :-))...
