I'm stuck walking in the same areas all the time.

I think this game is above my level of intelligence.

My mum would be able to work it out but I'm pretty dumb.

I'm stuck in a German town, wandering the same places over and over and over.

P.S. I'm stuck and getting so frustrated.

P.P.S. - ignore this postStarting to find my feet.Awesome game. Thanks GOG.

I've broken the game I think.
Tried everything and am lost.

Near the end of Chapter 1.

I've noticed my score isn't as high on walkthroughs on you tube but I don't know what I've done wrong.

Will the game go buggy if you don't follow every step properly?

Drtiving me bonkers atm.
Calm down. There are several things you can do in chapter 1 but don't need to do until later in the game. Just continue and have fun, the game is awesome and you cannot get stuck (and you cannot die until much later in the game and then it just rewinds).
Stuck,stuck stuck lol.

Chapter 2 taking forever now.
I wasn't born with much grey stuff so I might pass on this game.

Starting to get depressing.
There is a very elegant solution:

Go to http://www.uhs-hints.com/ and download UHS. This is a very good hint system that will only give you the hints you need. It's a wonderful balance between keeping the fun and fighting frustration.

Try it! Because the GK series is awesome!

Getting too old to enjoy these games.

Awesome game but my 45 year old brain can't keep up.
Hope you didn't give up. Try UHS. My 65-year-old brain is enjoying replaying these games

I was often frustrated playing through it the first time as well, took a few years off at one point and finally finished. The ending is well worth it if you can work through the frustration of thinking outside the box. There is one level later in the game that is just brutal (you literally have to click on everything) but again, the completion of the story is well worth it.

Did you play the first one as well?
I wasn't given much grey matter at birth so every game in easy mode is the equivalent of hard mode for you guys.

I uninstalled this.

Gave me depression and anxiety when I kept going in circles, not getting anywhere and the black dog telling me I'm a loser.

Than k your lucky stars or your folks genes, you are smarter than me.

You get that at birth, you don't earn it.
Actually these games are designed for co-op.

Two people together bumping ideas of each other.

Mum and I used to play the Space Quest games back in the 80s like that.

Was awesome fun getting to the next screen.

When you're stuck and on your own,you have nowhere to go and you just keep thinking the same solutions which aren't there when having another person has their own set of ideas for solving the puzzle.

This is a bit like Myst.
I never could play that but watching you tubes,it looks so straight forward and easy.

I'm not practical.
Never have been.

My mind doesn't think in logical or practical ways.

The percentage of my brain that makes up that part must be tiny LOL.

Born with a bloody English brain sobs.

Lazy and unmotivated.

I'm new to the series, but really like it so far. I started with GK2. A couple of suggestions I can are one: investigate everything in your inventory. Read and examine everything you pick up. Two: Pay close attention to all dialogue. Alot of clues are in the discussion and examination scenes.

I've found that some things never would have immediately occurred to me until I did them. Then they make more sense.

I have looked at a walkthrough before I get to the point where I'm about to throw the mouse through the window.

When you start thinking like the characters would the game kinda takes off on its own. At least it has for me.

Stick with it.
I get bad anxiety and this game and most games actually start getting really depressed.
I'm higher than Joe Cocker when I'm enjoying the game then I hit a wall and get down on myself.

well I probably played my moneys worth that I spent on this.

Made it to a bit of the chapter with the girl in it and then gave it away due to frustration.
You people will not be the same because you weren't born as dumb as I.
