I really dislike Graces character in this game.
Firstly She acts like she has a claim on Gabriel when in fact she is after all an employee.

Secondly Grace goes to shloss ritter and acts as if she owns that too, also the way she treats Gerde is shameful Schloss ritter is her home after all.

The way the Devs have made Grace in this second game make it hard for me to play it.

Have you finished the game? She gets much better after she gets some stuff off her chest.

Yes I have finished the game, for me though she still remained a jealous, possessive. It was only after learning that Gerde was not after Gabriel that she relented. Not a nice person.

I thought the same thing. I didn't like her character for the entire story, and didn't blame Gabe for wanting her to stay in the states. Realistically, Gerde COULD have done the research, and probably would have asked questions or figured out the difference in the theatres instead of ordering people and being so damn arrogant.
She's jealous and has feelings for Gabriel that she's in denial of. She also thinks Gabriel and Gerde sleep together, and she can't tolerate that. She learns that's not the case when she sees Gerde crying at Wolfgang's grace. But then she says "It's Gabriel's fault he never tells me anything." WTF?

I don't like Grace in this game either. The good news is, she gets better in the 3rd game.

No she doesn't. In fact she gets even worse at the end: she hides Von Glower's letter from Gabriel and never shows it to him, like she's afraid that Gabriel will run off with Von Glower. Even if he does, that's Gabriel's choice to make, not hers.

I agree with OP that GK2 Grace has a really annoying attitude of entitlement and jealousy. With every person she talks to, she seems to constantly be gauging whether or not she is being diminished. The conversation with the receptionist at the Ludwig Museum for example. Was there any reason for Grace to be so outwardly bitchy to a woman who is obviously just bored with her job? Would any normal human being be as passive aggressive as Grace is in this interaction?

I think it's partly the script's fault, but also because they cast a very abrasive actress. Contrast that with Leah Remini, who played a strong Grace but also kept her very likeable.

To be fair, Mrs. Smith warned Grace that it would be VERY bad for the world if Gabriel joined Von Glower, so I think Grace did the right thing there. But yeah, for the most part she's very unlikable in the 2nd game.

To be honest, I didn't like her all that much in the first game either. She seemed to be a bit of a snarky jerk. The only game that I liked her was the 3rd one.
I have a completely different feeling about Grace, I really like her in this game. Not showing the letter to Gabriel is a good thing, she watches out for him. And also Grace has the best theme song ;-)
