Greetings!
I already have some sound-trouble with Gabriel Knight 2 and now Gabriel Knight 3 wants me to "Please Insert CD1" right after I try to launch the game. What to do?
I'm happy at least Gabriel Knight 1 is playable :-)
Best regards,
Chris

So I'm also having trouble with the "please insert CD1" issue. I've tried downloading the link from gog support in the earlier threads, but nothing happens. I downloaded WinCDemu, but I can't figure out how to do anything with it. I'm afraid I'm not all that tech savvy. I tried to mount something, but not sure how to do it. Any ideas or help?

I'm having the exact same issue. The zip file link in the troubleshooting section is a dead link and doesnt work. I've tried contacting support and will let you know if they come up with anything.
I think the game expects to have any CD at all running in order to work. What has worked for me is I've just opened any .ISO file, no need to run anything off the disc image, but just open the file so that Windows shows it as DVD drive (F:) or something like that.

That fools GK3 into launching properly at least for me.

Can you upload the ISO file that you used please?
Are you using Windows 11?

Thanks

I had the same issue and found an ISO of GK3 on the Internet Archive. Mounting that under Windows 11 seemed to resolve the issue. Maybe any random ISO would work, I didn't try any others.
