I'm using Windows 7.

I installed and did not change any other settings and ran the game.

It goes to full screen, its all black, and all I see is a big white cursor.

I don't hear the Sierra intro playing as other posts say. I went and tried to run the Sierra.avi file and it plays in Windows Media Player just fine, so I don't think that's the problem. Although I did try removing the file and it still didn't work.

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same issue. I hear audio but have a black screen.

Hi,
it has to do with some additional video-codecs you may have installed. In my case, the problem as ffdshow. As I uninstalled the program, everything worked like a charm.
