In the starting area I decided to try and save for the first time and got the above message. I'm not sure why this is happening and I can't find any information anywhere detailing a solution.

Does anyone have any idea what might be happening? Everything installed fine and the game seems to run fine.

Thanks,

It sounds like a similar problem others had where the installation process hadn't created the save games folder. Try this:

1. Go to the folder where you installed GK3
2. Create a new folder
3. Rename the folder - call it "save games" (exactly as written, but without the quotation marks).

For example, if you installed to C:\Program Files\GOG Games\GK3, the folder should be "C:\Program Files\GOG Games\GK3\save games".

You may also want to make sure access isn't blocked to those folders if the game is in Program Files\.____.

Hi Mondo84,

None of those suggestions worked unfortunately so I uninstalled it and re-installed to the default directory and it works fine now! It was on a secondary drive which shouldn't have been a problem but somehow must have.

Thanks anyway,
