I've been replaying this game recently, and it really bothers me that you can't show Von Glower's letter to Gabriel. If you try showing it to Gabriel in Chapter 5, Grace says she'll show it to him eventually after she has "everything under control". I thought fine, fair enough. Then in Chapter 6, she says basically the same thing. And that's TWO MONTHS later! When are you going to show it to him, Grace? After Von Glower is destroyed, and Gabriel can no longer decide whether or not to join him? Are you afraid Gabriel will make the "wrong" choice? Even if he does, it will be his decision to make, not yours.
There was so much in that letter that Gabriel deserved to know about. If the developers were that determined to steer the game towards the "good" ending of not joining Von Glower, they should have just shot a scene of Gabriel reading the letter and deciding not to join. Instead we get this weird thing of two main characters not being allowed to resolve their relationship because of a jealous and controlling woman. Yes, jealous, because you get the sense throughout the game that Grace wants Gabriel to herself... being a bitch towards Gerde, always wanting to know where Gabriel is despite him not wanting her to know, threatening Huber's life to find out where Gabriel is... and not giving the letter of a rival love interest to Gabriel.
