Hey, all three games are on sale this weekend, so I am considering blowing a tenner buying the triology. The question I have though, is that after buying Desperado's that kept crashing (I haven't been able to complete it) whilst The Last Express worked perfectly.

Are all three of the triology games crash free e.g. would I be able to complete them in one sitting without any crashes, If anybody knows please let me know ASAP.

While I only have the first game myself, I can tell you that that one (the first one) and the second one are both running in emulation through DOSBox in the GOG versions (according to this page). Which should, as far as I know, mean that those two are unlikely to crash as long as you don't have issues with DOSBox itself on your system (never had crashes myself with DOSBox, though sound and performance issues seem common). Edit: last Express is also a DOSBox release according the list, so if that works fine, my best guess is so should these two.

As for the third one it appears, according to Mobygames, to be a Windows only release (like Desperados), and so it is hard to say if it will be hassle-free on your specific system, as with so many other old Windows games. Maybe have a look through these forums and see if there are any topics about crashing or similar issues, it's what I always do before buying some of these good old games.

Thanks for answering. I'm not sure about the third one, but seeing as the first two seem to work, I'll deifnantly buy them at these tiny prices.

Sometimes, the audio in GK1 speeds up, but that is the only problem with it. Everything else in GK1 should work fine. GK2 works great too, but I can't speak for GK3.

The first two are the better ones, and frankly classics in their own right anyway so I'd pick them up with the promo if I dnd't already own them.
