What exactly is taking so long to make an already available linux version available as a download on your site?
Sure, let's just ignore the elephant in the room that GoG just doesn't do much about giving access to linux games.
It's been long enough to simply put a file on their servers and have it downloadable for people who used GoG as their service to access this game.

I guess from now on I simply buy directly from the developers, whenever I can, to avoid these situations. It's been ridiculous from the start NOT to have the linux versions for GoG customers directly available. All it needs is a simple download link. No software changes at all, noting. Just a link

well maybe you should check with the devs and find out why they are taking their sweet time getting the Linux version to GOG since GOG can't supply it without their consent or them giving them the Linux version to sell..just saying. Maybe they didn't get the memo that GOG now supports Linux(you know how emails can be lost and so on)

Fall still hasn't started yet, and I suspect a number of games are currently in GOG testing. Still, I was hoping more games were nearly ready for release.

The fun fact is that Linux version of FTL runs flawlessly on basically every distro/hardware combination I have hear about, from "mainstream" distros like Debian/Ubunto, to exotic "Joe's Distros". In fact, it works much better than many games "officially" supported for Linux on GOG ("Anomaly: Warzone Earth" - I'm looking at you!).

I would really like to know if FTL is on it's way to GOG, or agreement between dev and distributor or other roadblock prevents that. I'm a lucky one who got FTL for ALL platforms on one of the last DRM-free Steam-free Humble Bundles (*after* buying it on GOG, just to get proper GNU/Linux version...), but I can imagine frustration of other users...

One month later. Still NOTHING from GOG. Seriously, this is beyond professional now. I will most likely not buy anything anymore from GOG.
I'm really looking forward to the already existing Linux version of this game to be made available from GOG, but at the same time I'm not going to turn it into a religious issue. I'm playing the game now on Windows and it is an awesome game. It will still be an awesome game when GOG makes the Linux version available. I can understand how Linux porting priorities may be focused on other areas, and that the resolution to this situation is likely one that can not be done by either GOG or the developer alone.

I'd rather focus on ensuring there is a long term trend in place of having high quality Linux ports for the vast majority of titles... I could care less what happens in the short term.
Well thank you for nothing Gog.com. At least I got FTL the Linux edition through the latest Humble Bundle, and don't longer need your "service".

And this has nothing to do with religion at all. This has something to do with good service and customer relations. Just ignoring the customer, and not giving ANY statement on the whereabouts is no good business at all.
I was just wondering about if gog has a linux version of this game since all the other stores have it. And even the developer offers it drm-free for linux so what's the problem here gog?

You wanna ask via a support ticket?
4 Months of ignorance and nothingness.
I think Gog just stopped linux support as they figured out that it does not make any money extra.

Looky looky what we have here! Finally a linux version for you my friend :)

This will be the first time I'm trying it, since I got it for free from GOG, and I've completely forgotten about it until I saw the linux version just now.
Well, case closed, the Linux version has finally arrived. :)
