I just update my laptop to Win 10 yesterday and FTL won't start. Apparently it is a display issue, as I launch the game windows told me the resolution is not fit. Not sure is it an individual case or something, but I managed to make a quick fix and like to share here.

Below is my spec for reference. It is not guarantee work on all platform.
CPU: Core i3-4010U
Display: CPU integrated Intel HD Graphics 4400 with Nvidia GT 720M (Win 10 driver ver. 355.60)

It seems Nvidia is set to run FTL by default. After switching to HD 4400 through Nivida Control Panel > Manage 3D setting > Application Setting, the game run again.
