We wanted to let everyone know that we'll be looking into FTL achievements on GOG in the coming weeks. I won't make any promises as we haven't had time to investigate any potential technical hurdles. FTL is an old, homebrew engine which comes with its own complications.

But I wanted to let you know we haven't forgotten about GOG :)

Thanks for playing everyone!

Matthew
Thanks!
Thank you, I was really hoping you'd try to add them on GOG as well, hopefully you'll succeed without too many problems!
Thank you! Looking forward for the update here on GOG!
Thank you for not being one of those companies that really don't care about gog users.

FTL achievements are here! And they are retrospective, once you update the game via Galaxy and launch it they will appear if gotten in previous runs.
Neat. Just noticed it and came to check if there is something mentioned about it on the forums. Thanks, zasdarq.
Thanks to all the developers!
yah, thanks from me too!
Thanks for all the good work,
both FTL and Into the breach.

Keep it up
Thank you! :)
I just played it, first time for quite a while, when it loaded up there were a load of beeps and icons appear 1 after another at the top of the menu, i was like huh !

i didn't realize what was happening for a few seconds, then it hit me......oh achievements, when did that happen

then came here, thanks devs / gog, brilliant :]
Anyone know if the achievements overlap between the Steam and GOG builds of the game? In as much as, say, a scenario plays out where one unlocks some or all of them while playing one build then goes to do the same on the other, they won't just instantly dogpile unlock when the other build is launched, correct?

If i'm reading you correctly,
Yes, if you play on one platform get some achievments,
advancements or are just in the middle of a play,
if you transfer the save file, because they usally work on diferent file paths,
when you open the game will catch up on the advancements,

I have a gog on work pc, so its small and not on registry,
and when i save and move to home pc,
either one platform gets to the point i left it

That's unfortunate, in as much as I was holding on to the hope that if I decided to start the Steam build of the game, I wouldn't get a conga line of achievement unlocks the second I fire it up (I've actually unlocked all but 1 in the GOG build). While in theory this saves time for some people, I'm among a small number of people who doesn't mind re-earning achievements. I guess if I decide to redo them, I'll have to be certain to wipe any existing profile save from my system before I do.

Thank you for taking the time to answer though.
