Hello! Have just received a "rare" achievement "It Was Me All Along" - "Find Generatorparts meant for Winterhome and keep them"

I just wonder - who is finally to blame for the fault of WInterhome Generator? Ever before I thought it was a hang man from Hangman hill in Refugees" scenario to blame. Pissed off engineer orchestrated a sructural flaw. Didn't he?

This is very unlikely for two reasons.

First, the surrounding coastline in the Refugees scenario looks nothing like that in New Home. It is very unlikely that someone made the trip between the two areas.

We also happen to know the generator number of the Refugees scenario (you can see it if you start an endless game on that site): it's 014, meaning it was one of the first generators built. We don't know the Winterhome or New London generator numbers, but we do know Winterhome was under construction contemporaneously with the generator 113 (the one you build in Last Autumn) so it must have been one of the last generators constructed. This suggests they are probably very far away from each other.

I think the explanation for Winterhome is simple: they were rushed, short on supplies, and facing worker discontent. Same problems as you had in TLA. Corners were cut, and Winterhome was doomed.

But u still meet a lot of refugees and remnants from Winterhome in different scenarios! Children in New Home (if I'm not mistaken), a hanhman from Winterhome (his note clearly adresses he spoiled something in generator ,though not clearly eplained that it was a WInterhome), remnants of half-eaten frozen corpses in the frozen grove

The secluded cave with the children and the frozen grove with corpses are both in the New Home scenario within close proximity to Winterhome itself. As I just explained there is every reason to believe that the Refugees generator is very far away, and thus it wouldn't make sense that an engineer that worked on the Winterhome generator would have found their way out here.

The hanged man doesn't say anything about sabotaging a generator in his notes, and simply leaves an ominous statement about a "farewell gift". It is plausible that he's a disgruntled engineer who was part of the build team on a generator, but this guy had no means of transportation so if he was part of a generator build team it almost certainly wasn't Winterhome's.
