I have a GeForce GTS 250 and just got the latest driver from Nvidia. Since I installed it, the text and flying screens have started flashing like a strobe effect, making the game unplayable. The background images, like the hanger, are fine. I'm sure it was the driver, because the game was fine right up until I updated it and there were no other hardware or software changes that i did at that time. Before I revert the driver, is there anything that I might be able to do with the card that could fix it?

I'm afraid I don't know how to help, but out of curiosity are you playing vanilla or Freespace Open?

Not Open. Just standard install, no mod, plain ol' Freespace 1. Nvidia just sent a notice about another driver update, so I'm going to try that one. Couldn't hurt, really.

Report it to nVidia, so they can fix it.
